This kit was just what I needed when I was sitting for my little 6 year old niece. I loved the box, which she took home with all of the extra parts. The fact that the pieces are pre-cut made it much less messy and we were instantly able to start putting together our animals! She enjoyed the examples, but others may like to just wing it. Plenty of parts to do either. I highly recommend this kit. I do suggest some strong glue. Maybe a glue gun used by an adult? I bought good craft glue but our larger parts were kind of falling off. This craft kit was a mixed bag for me. I’m usually a DIY type of person, but this seemed like a great price for a pre-made craft kit that my kids would really like. The actual felt mitts are so stiff that they are difficult for the kids to play with. So even tho the puppets are cute and finished; they’re not super playable which is the point of a toy like this. To make something you can play with. The quality of the pieces is what makes it overpriced. This kit is worth more like $5-$8. Not $13. It’s a little bit useless to get a bunch of extra pieces but not enough mitts to make more puppets. I think the idea is that you can make the pre-planned versions or your own. But it makes more sense to me to mark the price down and just do one or the other. I’m paying for a pile of felt cutouts we can’t use. All in all, the activity was pretty simple and kept my 3 year old engaged for about 45 minutes. But I don’t see these getting a whole lot of play in our house. And I also see them getting destroyed or coming apart due to the stiffness and quality issues. ... show more

Elmer's is not the answer, tacky Glue isn not the answer...use the Glue dots!! (Unless you have felt glue). The children had a great time, even when it was falling apart from using glue.

    • Perfect gift for lil crafters!
Purchased for my 2 year old granddaughter for an Easter gift. She loves puppets—definitely required parent assistance. The glue is okay—eyes were falling off, I would suggest using stronger fabric glue. Overall it was a win and I’d purchase again.
