Nice tarp. It's been used to provide a shade for our patio until we can properly add the right long-lasting materials. We live in a very hot and dry area during the summers. It's lasted for about 2.8 months in the blazing sun before it began to tear. We are happy with it and buying another one to replace the old one. The only reason why we give it 4 stars is because the metal tie holders are not as sturdy as we would like. They work well, but a few have torn as we set it up. I bought one 2 years ago and it was a damn good tarp so why not buy another one. Well the second one I just recently bought definitely not as heavy duty. It seems to be a thinner material compared to the first one I bought. When tying it down an eyelet ripped out with barely putting any tension on it. Out of the box, this tarp looks great and feels durable. But looks can be deceiving. I have a side lot where I keep a water ski boat under a structed canopy. I bought this tarp as an extra layer of protection from rain and sun even with the boat having its own cover. Well two terrible things happened when I trusted this product to repel rain and resist Western sun exposure in Southern California. Unbeknownst to me at the A frame of the canopy there became stress points making the fabric break down enough to let water in. The rain had accumulated inside the boat filling up above the V drive transmission resulting in an $800 repair bill the next summer. I knew I had to replace the tarp before the next winter but wanted to get at least a second summer of sun protection since the product was barely a year old and it's a hassle to replace. As the summer marched on you could see the color change from green to almost white as if it had been sand blasted. The material literally was paper thin to the touch, and I had to sweep up the mess after some Santa Ana winds whipped through my property and tore it apart.
