I made a topper for my new clothes washer and dryer so that they would not get scratched from laying object on top of them. The fabric is water proof which I wanted to lay out wet clothing to dry if I needed to - which I do with almost every wash. I also lined mine with a layer of batting to give it some cushioning. The fabric is a bit stiff but still thin enough to sew with my regular sewing machine but the stiffness gives it a wrinkle free effect. This fabric is exactly what I was looking for when I found it on Amazon. It did take longer to be delivered than most Amazon packages but I wasn't in any hurry so it didn't really matter. I did not have a chance to put this fabric to use until late October, or early November. I made a canopy for my outdoor swing, and a seat cushion as well. The swing is in the afternoon sun.
