  • Another great product from Wampler.
It's a great pedal, lots of sound/effects range. I'd use a power supply like the Truetone 1 Spot and run it through a good power surge protector (to cancel any ground noise you might encounter). Spend some money on a good, because gear isn't cheap.

  • All my modulation needs in one awesome little box!
I don't use modulation effects enough to justify multiple pedals taking up space on my board. This has everything i need (and then some) with a small footprint. The Zoom Multistomp pedals can do LOTS of decent effects in a small package, but they can't scroll through presets AND handle tap tempo at the same time using the foot switch. This one can, and sounds quite a bit better too. For me it was worth the extra $$$. Very impressed with Wampler products. ... show more

  • Sophisticated pedal.
This pedal is more sophisticated than the average pedal, and it has a lot of nice features and effects. Not only that, but it sounds great too! Originally, I was looking for a flanger, but I ran into this monster that has a variety of mod effects. I thought, why get something with only one effect when this has that and more? Each of these mod effects are top of the line just by themselves. It's got a lot of knobs, and it's nice to have a lot of parameters to tweak. It might be a little challenging to dial in the the effects to how you want them at first. With so many features it takes some getting used to. This pedal can save presets. It also can be used with an expression pedal, which is really nice. It's even possible to set which parameter you'd like the expression pedal to control. The pedal can be used in mono or stereo mode via a switch on the back. That saves me from having to plug and unplug cables. Another feature this pedal has is midi capabilities. This allows me to sync the tempo with my other gear and the master clock. It can also set the tempo for other gear. There's in and out midi with 3.5mm ports, and it comes with DIN adapters for the more traditional 5 pin. Really great feature! There are great sounding effects. It has flanger, phaser, chorus, and others. Some of them sound very similar to me, however. Some just sound like modified tremolo. There are slight differences, but I wish some of them were more distinctive and dynamic. It still has top quality effects, so my complaint doesn't change my opinion. It's a great pedal! There's a lot this pedal can do. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be glad you picked it up. I usually use this at the end of my effects chain, but it's a lot of fun to change it up and experiment. Thanks Wampler! ... show more

  • Don't buy used!!!
This pedal is pretty good. The sounds are all true to form and the flexibility of being able to assign an expression pedal to any of the parameters make this really useful live. The pedal is a little on the glitchy side, only real downside. BUY IT NEW- Amazon sent me yet another pedal marked "Like New" that came at a much lower condition rate. Actually the pedal they sent me was non functioning. I had to buy a new one to get what I wanted. Amazon seems to have zero QA on their used gear, and in my experience you will get a heavily used product that may or may not work as intended if you buy a "Like New" product. Buyer beware. ... show more

  • A good modulation pedal
Useful modulation effects. Sounds really good and easy to use. I will buy another one if a future “Mark II” comes with Delay.

  • amazing pedal!
Truly phenomenal pedal. It does the job of several pedals with arguably better tone. Do yourself a favor and buy it. It has quickly become my favorite on my pedal board.

  • Sounds great but highly unreliable
Like others have said, the Wampler Terraform is a great way to get a range of fairly niche effects in a small package. This just barely takes up more space on my pedalboard than the MXR flanger I replaced and is much more versatile. While I really don't find much use for these sounds all the time, it's nice to have them all right here, and for the most part they sound excellent. The flanger sounds better than the MXR unit, and the phaser, chorus, and dimension settings all sound as good or better than any standalone effect I've heard. But where I really fell in love with the terraform was when playing with the u-vibe and rotary effects. Just fantastic. The tremolo effects are solid but less exciting, at least to me. The autoswell effect is pretty useless--the tracking isn't great and it's just kind of silly. I already have a volume pedal anyway. The autowah seems decent enough, but I'm pretty disappointed in the envelope filter. I love playing funk, so I was excited this effect was included, but it really just sounds weak. These considerations aside, my terraform was finicky and unreliable from the very first week. When scrolling through the effects with the knob, sometimes the selector light would start jumping all over the place. When clicking through the presets, the unit frequently made a loud electrical pop and I often would have to press the button twice before it would actually switch. Worse still, sometimes lights on the whole unit just seem to fade and none of the buttons of knobs respond at all, requiring me to unplug the terraform from the power supply and reconnect it. So overall, I was really excited to have all of these effects in a small, inexpensive, and (mostly) great sounding package, but for a $300 piece of gear, the unreliability of the terraform is simply unacceptable and I've returned it. ... show more
