    • Easy to Use, Great Results
UPDATE: Customer service was great. Colleen hooked me up with a replacement blade set which was pretty easy to replace myself. I've been doing my own haircuts for the last ~10 months, so I've probably already saved at least double what I paid for this clipper. Totally worth it. The only downside is it's a messy process, which I deal with by doing 90% of it outside and then just finishing up the details over the sink. ---- Like another recent reviewer, my clipper came with a broken "blade". It's really just the fixed metal comb attached to the clipper. I contacted Wahl to see if I can get the part replaced. Depending on how that goes I'll either add or remove a star. Aside from that, the clipper works incredibly well. It cut very smoothly and there was absolutely no pulling or anything. Things were getting pretty dire with all the barber shops and salons closed, so I was prepared for getting just a "buzz" cut. I have a few friends who cut their own hair and that's what they do and what I was expecting. I was surprised to discover that it was actually really easy to keep my usual style which is shorter around the sides and longer on top. The various plastic guards that come with this clipper make it pretty fool proof. I went with the #5 around the sides and #8 on the top and it came out great. The rest is just cleaning up using the tapered ear guards and the bare clipper for sideburns and neckline. It took me awhile this first time as I was scared of the potential damage I could do. But really, next time I think it will be a piece of cake. Just be prepared for a big mess of clipped hair when you're done. I think next time I'll try to just do it outside. Even doing it over the sink it took a while to clean up all the hair. The biggest downside is the lack of a charge indicator. The battery supposedly lasts for 2 hours but you really have no way of knowing for sure that it will have enough juice to finish the job unless you charge it up before each time you use it and you don't know when it's full. That would be the worst running out in the middle of the job. But it supposedly has a 15 minute "quick charge". So I plan on just leaving it plugged in overnight the night before I do my haircut. Also the power button is a little weird and if it gets pressed slightly while running the power cuts out. But the power button is out of the way when you're holding it normally so it isn't really an issue. Overall it's a wonderful device. Easy to use. And I got great results despite having zero experience. I'll probably never go to the barber again. So this clipper will easily pay for itself after just the first couple of cuts. Just really hoping Wahl support takes care of my part that came broken. ... show more

UPDATE: These clippers are now inoperable after 9 months. The power button is faulty and has been faltering for some time. Today, the unit finally stopped working altogether. I'm torn. I love the weight, convenience and performance of these clippers, but unsure if I should buy again or go try another brand. Handle these with care if you buy. Good luck! --------- I've been using a corded hair clipper like this for 15 years. And the last one I had finally died. So I took the plunge and went cordless. It's so much better. Easier to manage. I've only used this one a couple times so I can't speak to its longevity. But it feels great in the hand and does a great job with the hair. You've got all the attachments and it's powerful enough. The odd thing is there's no LED indicator that the unit is charging when it's plugged in. There's just no power LED period. I thought that was weird.     • Great clippers and battery that lasts forever
As of this writing, I purchased the clippers over 6 months ago and I'm still on my first charge. I cut my hair on the shortest setting around every 3 weeks. Great clippers with a long lasting battery. I gave it 4 stars because of my only concern with the soft touch rubber for the on/off switch. Seems like it will wear through pretty quick. It certainly won't last as long as the rest of the clipper. Should have been something more heavy duty like a toggle/slide switch of some kind. ... show more

I usually avoid rechargeable clippers but due to the positive reviews I got this model. So far so good. Powerful, cuts well. A bit louder than my electric Wahl but that’s okay. Not a big deal there is not a light indicating charge. Instructions note charging before first use as we as after. I’ve always used Wahl clippers. Hopefully this one will be as reliable as my older ones. ... show more

    • Easy Handling, Efficient Cutting
The Wahl Clipper does exactly what the company says it does. All the advice, directions, and other printed materials that come with it are clear, well illustrated, and easily intelligible, with prose written in excellent standard American English. Since the first spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in America, I've been cutting my own hair short, with a Wahl Clipper, so that I have no use for the accessories, which I suggest could be reasonably made optional,-- the attachments used for various lengths of hair. But I'm perfectly well satisfied with the clipper, particularly because it has a built-in battery that can be conveniently and easily recharged in ten minutes after each haircut. Moreover, I doubt that there can be a more excellent, reliable company than the Wahl Clipper Company anywhere. I suggest that anyone looking for the best hair clipper look at the Wahl website, read it carefully, believe what it says, and buy with confidence from the Wahl Clipper Company, a great American manufacturer. ... show more
