I sprayed on both sides of my face and purposely left my forehead shiny and oily. 2hours later I checked my face and both sides of my face had a matte finish and my forehead was still shiny and oily. 6 hours later both sides of my face lost the matte finish. I tried this on a whim and really like it. Now that said, it is a nice matt finish so if you are looking for dewy shine, that is not what it offers.
