I saw some negative reviews, complaining that the adhesive backing is not sticky enough to support the weight of a VR headset and two controllers all by itself. Well, yeah! Of course! The product page says so right there! The adhesive backing is *only* there to hold the hook in place long enough for you to secure it to the desk or shelf with the included screws. As someone who read the product description before they bought it, this item is exactly as described and provided a clean and convenient place for me to store my Valve Index and Knuckles controllers.     • Awful mount and does not support the Oculus Rift S even after a replacement
Had it for 10 or 15 days the first time and the adhesive gave out and my hook fell on the ground so I asked for a replacement thinking it was maybe a bad adhesive but the second gave out in about 32 days, conveniently right outside of the return window. This does not support the Oculus Rift S, I've installed it with the adhesive and it does not hold the weight well at all. I even used my own 3M tape to try and cover more of the surface area but this hook still falls after 30 days. Do not buy unless you're thinking of drilling holes because this adhesive can absolutely not hold the weight of the Oculus Rift S. I haven't even touched the headset is the worst part which would cause some strain being taken off and put on so even with it just sitting on my desk it couldn't hold the weight. ... show more

I bought one of these so I could hang my Oculus Rift-S near my PC. There was a more expensive version of this rack that can mount to the wall but I saved myself some money and just bought this one and stuck 3M command strips on the back of it. Works great. There's enough room to hang the Rift-S, wrap the cable around behind it and hang the touch controllers. Very happy with it. ... show more

    • Had to replace the tape
Looks great but I had to replace the tape on it. It just kept falling. It might work better if they add more tape to both sides past the screw holes. Since I wasn't using screws though I just covered it up. Looks nice and now it hold my index gear with no problems. Update: Kept falling had to add tape to both sides on top of the double sided tape to hold up the index. They need to extend how big the top lip is. Should prob be about the same size as the headset holder part sticks out. It tends to tilt backwards from the weight which applies forward stress and pulls the tape off. ... show more

Your product is one fabricated piece of metal and you cheap out on screws? I predrilled holes for these screws and they still struggled to get in with the threads fully stripping before I could even get the screws firmly installed. Because of that lack of grip I also scraped the rack itself which I was desperately trying to avoid. Please include screws capable of penetrating hardwood that aren’t made of aluminum foil.
