This has been one of my all time favorite harnesses for my dogs. I had one that I took the clasps off and just used the velcro. They stopped making that one, but this has a small velcro piece and a large, very easy to use clasp. It has two loops on it that I thought might be a bother, but they aren't at all, and even seem to balance it a bit better. It also works well with the hook on his car seat. He gets in and out of it very well. I take each of his paws and "hop" him onto it on the floor, and he's gotten to where he thinks that is fun. A good, easy to use harness. I have bought two sizes of these for my 2 kittens. They are currently 3 months old and about 4 pounds and the xxxs fits decently. I also bought the xxs for them to grow into. I recommend these over many of the other cat harness options out there. I appreciate the ease of putting these on them and they seem comfortable with them after some harness training. They can eventually back out of them if you let them, but just like with any harness, it should be used with supervision. ... show more

My dog that I adopted recently has a partially collapsed trachea. This was listed as a harness that would not Irritate the trachea area and it seems to be working well. Unfortunately she was not leash trained when she was rescued and I think she may have caused the damage herself when the rescue people were training her. She coughs a lot because of the problem but I notice that when we are out walking and she is wearing this harness she is not coughing as she was with other harnesses we tried. Bought this harness when Sami was a puppy which she now outgrew. It is still in great shape. I bought the same one just one size larger and it fits great with a little room to spare. I highly recommend this harness. Very durable and looks like it is comfortable for her too.

Of all the harnesses I’ve tried this is the clear winner. Easy to put on even a resistant cat, and seems to fit comfortably without bi ding or digging in the way strap halters can. BUT while getting cat used to it indoors, her was able to back himself behind furniture and maneuver himself into a position where he could pull one arm out, which left the harness bunched up with him still in it. I know no safe, comfortable harness is 100% escape-proof, but be aware your care needs to be supervised while wearing this, especially in the early stage of getting them used to it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. FOUR-YEAR UPDATE: This is the only brand of dog harness I will ever buy or recommend. Three months after my last update, we took in a paralyzed foster terrier when all of the local shelters went into COVID lockdown overnight. That spiraled out of control quickly. Since then we’ve fostered more than 30 dogs with intensive care needs, most fully or partially paralyzed from spinal injuries. Very often our fosters need to wear a harness 24/7 for safety, especially newly disabled dogs who need a service human to help navigate their environment. These are so comfortable for round-the-clock wear, even for allergy prone dogs or those with sensitive skin. These also work well in conjunction with the standard Walkin’ Wheels chest harness for dogs that don’t like the Walkin’ Warrior harness. I put the Voyager harness on first, then the wheelchair chest strap. It’s a very snug, comfortable fit that usually keeps everything properly aligned. Most of our fosters are lowriders with some degree of bladder/bowel incontinence, which makes for A LOT of laundry. It’s very rare that we can use a harness more than 2-3 days in a row without washing. There’s almost always a freshly washed load of harnesses hanging to dry, with plenty of clean ones in the bin ready to go. These Voyager harnesses take a relentless licking and just keep ticking. I’ve now purchased more than 50 of these in every size from XS to XL, and even one XXXS for my best friend’s itty bitty kitty who’s a frequent houseguest. I have yet to find a dog breed under 35 lbs. that can’t fit into one of these. Dachshunds, terriers, yorkies, chihuahuas, poodles, poms, maltese, cockers, frenchies—you name it, I’ll put a Voyager harness on it.
