This is an excellent starter record player on a tighter budget. When I was initially shopping around I knew I wanted something with a little more features than the standard (and often crappy) suitcase styled record players. Based on the specs, this seemed like a great purchase at the time so I took the chance. It's simple to use, the speaker is adequate for smaller rooms, it looks nice, and the bluetooth option is very handy. Now if you let any audiophile (vinyl snob) provide their opinion, they'd swear that this player is utterly trash and will ruin your vinyls. As someone who isn't an expert, I can at least say that the included stylus is a decent, lower budget option that should not do any real damage to your records. And if that's a concern at all, then cheaper record players are not where you should be looking. I feel that this is perfect for someone getting their feet wet into collection and learning about playing vinyl. However, if you think you'll play your vinyls every day or already have a deep interest into collecting records, then I say surpass this and get something better (something with a better tonearm, stylus, and full sized platter). It hasn't done me wrong so I'll plan to keep it as a spare player. ... show more

The Victrola Eastwood is exactly what I was looking for in an affordable record player. I listened to and used several different models and this one provides a very clear, balanced sound. The volume won't be loud enough to shake the room, but it is very comfortable for listening with a couple of people in a room. The built-in speaker box has a great balance of highs and mids. The bass is plenty enough for the variety of music I enjoy, but if you play super bass-heavy tracks, you might want to add some external speakers or subs using either bluetooth or through the RCA hook ups. The player looks fantastic just about anywhere you put it. Very classic in appearance, but easy to use. The auto stop feature when an album side is finished is great too, in case you leave the room or are distracted while playing. The only caution I would share is that the lid can get in the way and the records can rub on it if you try to raise the lid while an album is spinning. I choose to stop the album before opening the lid. ... show more

Just wanted something affordable to play the few vinyl records I have and this turntable was that. Don't expect bells and whistles (which I didn't). It's very basic, sound is fine and it fit into the small space I had. While the base is very solid, the cover and needle arm are very plastic and seem easily breakable so take it easy. Plus, as others have noted, 33rpm records fit under the lid but be careful putting the disc on the turntable and make sure it goes UNDER the lid otherwise damage to the record may occur. I do like that the record stops once it has played. Needle has to be manually put back on its rest as it won't do that automatically once the music stops. Again, basic. Have not tried the Bluetooth connectivity because I won't use that feature... but it's there. Otherwise, so far, so good and a good price point for basic record player. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. When I saw the unit from Victrola I told myself that it would be a nice buy and an additional record player for my home. Not the loudest speakers, but has a nice sound to it. Plus with the feature of transmitting the sound to your favorite Bluetooth speaker like I did on the this video it makes it a good deal. Not only that it carries an original Audio Technica cartridge and needle which gives you a better sound quality then your average ceramic cartridge and sapphire needle. So this would be an excellent gift for someone starting to hear music on vinyl. ... show more

I bought this for a Christmas gift and it didn’t work Christmas morning. The plate was crooked and the needle just skipped across the records aimlessly. I figured I got a dysfunctional one so returned it and got another- same brand and model. This one had an even plate but was so staticky you couldn’t hear the music. We tested the speaker by connecting it to a phone and playing streaming music and the speaker sounded good. There is just something really wrong with the record player. Using it with a jvc hx d77 and AIYIMA T2 set to zero volume on the record player. Works really well and can hear the bass a lot better with the atn-3600l cartridge. The aiyima and the Eastwood connect quickly and easily over Bluetooth. Wish the needle automatically went back to its cradle after record is finished but the auto off is all that is needed. Guess you can’t have everything. Although getting a 3 speed phono with at least an at-3600la is a lot like finding a unicorn on amazon. =P the plastic seems sturdy and I like the wood color on the side. The media could not be loaded. I know nothing about record players, but have stated buying vinyl, so I wanted something that I could use but was kinda "for dummies"...well, this is it! It also comes with a short cheat sheet that I keep close so I can reference any time I need to until I get the hang of it!
