  • Works Great
Bought for my dad who has copd and was very congested. Worked after the first time and it’s very easy to fill. We didn’t use the vapor pod but just using water and gave off a good amount of steam. My only issue is I wish it held a little more water.

  • Good Steam Output.
I got this product for a sinus infection. I read the reviews that said the steam output is not all that good. I found the steam output to be very good. I was concerned that the steam would not last long, I just timed it at 22 minutes. Our hot water heater is set at the customary 120 degrees. I would rate the steam better than from a hot shower. Very easy to use. I use a lip balm to protect my lips. The little control to adjust the steam level works well. ... show more

  • Vicks Personal Sinus Steam Inhaler
This steam inhaler is a definite improvement over the previous Vicks unit I was using because this unit is actually designed as a sinus steam inhaler. I have used it for 3 weeks and it works fairly well. I do wish it produced a little more steam but it generates a decent amount given the price or the unit. One thing that needs serious improve is the face mask's connection to the main unit. After a week's use, the mask began warping out of shape (due to the soft nature of the plastic used coupled with the constant exposure to the super hot steam I suspect) making it prone to not wanting to stay securely on the main unit and making it frustratingly difficult to get it to securely fit onto the grooves on the main unit. Once I finally managed to push it completely back on the unit and securely attach it, it seems to be acting better but still has a tendency to want to "flip its lid" at the slightest bump or nudge. But, it does a fairly good good supplying steam at a mere fraction of the price of My Pur Mist. My Pur Mist is superb and superior while it works, only problem is, it only works for any where from one day to 3 weeks before it malfunctions. A couple of years ago, I had one last 9 months. Last year, I tried again and went through one unit which immediately malfunctioned, followed by 2 replacements that lasted anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks each. This Vicks unit is affordable alternative and does help clear congestion. The feature that I really like is that the water reservoir chamber is enclosed by a locked cover and a seal which keeps boiling water from accidentally spilling or splattering about. I have my fingers crossed that the unit will last for a decent amount of time. ... show more

  • Fresh way to use Vicks
The general rule with Vicks was to put your fingers in the jar then rub the Vicks where you need it and then go wash your hands! Not any more, now you unscrew the lid and rub it where you need it then replace the lid! So very neat and easy to use! I love this new Vicks!

  • Useless. I prefer boiling water in a mug.
The media could not be loaded. I get it , the device has to be safe for kids and adults too. But to avoid any chance of discomfort ( hot steam) to a little kid, the device has been dialed down so much that for adults, it’s completely useless. I would take a cup of hot water and will get more steam through my sinuses while sipping it then through this inhaler. Six minutes for boiling minuscule amount of water is ridiculous and then trying to maneuver your mouth over the mask so that you can catch that little steam is ridiculous. The patent pending mechanism to control steam is a joke! Given the little steam that oozes out, I don’t see a use of this inhaler. The vapor pad functionality has nothing to do with the device or the steam, a small niche is provided where one places it and smell it. Never expected it from a Philips brand. ... show more

  • Labels Fading and Disappearing Only After A Few Time Usage
Overall, the product works well and functions as described. The machine produces steam and helps to relieve nasal congestion a lot. However, the one big thing that surprises me is that all the feature symbol labels fade and disappear only after a few time usage. Specifically, the symbol labels such as lock/unlock the inhaler to pour in water, and the steam level adjustment (increase/decrease steam level), in which these symbols are all gone after 2-3 times of usage. Even the front Vicks logo is also disappeared as well. Thus, it’s very difficult to remember which directions to lock/unlock and which directions to increase/decrease steam level. As a result, I have to draw out these symbols by hand with markers in order to remember the features and their directions. Because Vicks is a very popular brand, I’m very surprised by this issue. I was thinking about buying 1 more because of its overall great function to relieve nasal congestion, but after experiencing this issue, I’m reconsidering … ... show more

  • Instant Sinus Relief – A Teacher’s New Must-Have!
The media could not be loaded. As a teacher who’s constantly on the go and exposed to all kinds of germs, the Vicks Sinus Inhaler has been a lifesaver! I just got it in the mail and couldn’t wait to try it out. After just a few minutes of use, I could feel the steam soothing my sinuses, which is such a relief after long days in a classroom full of stuffy air. It’s super easy to use, heats up fast, and really helps me breathe easier, especially in the morning when congestion hits the hardest. I love that it’s compact, making it easy to use before heading to school. This little device is going to be my go-to for staying healthy and clear-headed through the school year! ... show more
