  • Solid, compact, powerful, high-quality air compressor
Style: Analog Manual Fill
This air compressor is a must-have. It's well-built, easy to use, and perfect for what it was meant to do. I had to air up all four of my minivan's tires tonight. The power cables clamped easily onto my minivan's battery terminals, and the cables were long enough that I could set the compressor on the ground near my front tires. The air hose easily reached my rear tires and had extra length to spare, even though the compressor had to stay near the front tires. The built-in light was pretty dim; it helped to have my cellphone flashlight to read the tire gauge. The built-in gauge may read high; my Slime dial gauge matched a low tire at 24 psi but read about 4-5 psi lower than the built-in gauge after inflation to 37 psi according to my dial gauge (unless my dial gauge is inaccurate...). Maybe I needed to disconnect and reconnect the chuck to get a proper reading with the compressor off. But it's a good reference anyway to know how much air went into the tire. The noise level is reasonable for an air compressor (and of course it will get hot and will need time to cool off). It aired up the tires quickly. The screw-on, brass chuck got a secure connection to the tire valve. This compressor seems made to last and very reliable. Plus, it comes with a carrying case for extra portability and protection. ... show more

  • Emergency tire inflation
Style: Analog Manual Fill
ViAir tire inflator is great! Product is compact, comes with carry case. Stores easily in the vehicle until needed. Air hose is very good quality, pliable and of adequate length. Electric cord is of adequate length and good quality. Like how the alligator clamp connections are insulated to isolate accidental contact with metal objects other than the battery. One feature I like is the air valve connector screws on to the valve stem of the tire. Connection can be made them turn on the power at the pump. The pump itself seems to appear well made and durable. Have used on my vehicle and couple low lawnmower tires, works great. Would purchase again! ... show more

  • Great product
Style: Analog Manual Fill
Being an overlander having a pump is essential. This pump is handy and works well. It gets hot but it still fills all 4 tires at the same time using my 4 way air spliter. From 12 psi to 35 in 7 minutes.

  • Durable and Fast
Style: Analog Manual Fill
I like this to put air in the tires of my 4runner or our bicycles. It works fast. Gets a little warm when running. I wish there was an attachment so I could blow air with it. I am not a fan of having to screw it to the valve. I know that i s a great option to be able to put it on a truck tire and walk away. Not great when doing bicycles etc. ... show more

  • great little compressor
Style: Analog Manual Fill
i decided to get me a compressor because i just spent $3 trying to fill up my tires at a gas station and that didn't fix my low tire pressure warning. the gauge wasn't consistent, and for some reason the chuck didn't attach well to my tire. being able to do it at home before i go anywhere, actually lets me fill up at cold pressure, as opposed to driving to a gas station a few miles away, which may or may not work. plus, i can fill it up at my own leisure, instead of rushing to get everything done before the machine shuts off and i have to add another $1. decided to get this one because of the good ratings, total hose/cord lengh and it connected directly to the battery, instead of the cigarette lighter. my car only can do up to 10A, so that prevented me from getting a decent lighter port compressor. the 88p works great so far. fills up my tires quickly. the screw on chuck is secure, the unit isn't too loud when inflating. the clips are a little short, but i can work with it. the length of both the hose and power cord give me plenty of reach for the tires on my car. because the screw on is secure, i can go and stay by the unit and not have to worry about it coming off. unlike some of viair's higher end compressors, the gauge is built-in to the handle of the unit, as opposed to having the gauge at the chuck end. this is great because the gauge is right next to the power switch. you don't have to turn it off, and walk over to the tire to look at the gauge. the gauge seems pretty consistent. based on my nissan leaf's easy tire alert system (which honks once when it's filled to 36 psi, and honks multiple times when it gets to 40 psi), the gauge is 2 psi high. that, compared to my tiretek tire gauge, which is only 1 psi high. the tiretek gauge is only 60 psi though, so based on max psi (88p's 120 psi vs tiretek's 60 psi), both are high, but within their 2% specs. one thing that would be nice is a pressure release valve. but i knew that going in and since my other tire gauge has a value, i just over inflate it a bit and use my tire gauge to bring it back down. the unit does get hot when filling up tires (i deflated my tires to about 30 psi, and filled them all back up to 40), so maybe add in a little break time before putting it away. note: this does NOT come with a bag. i'm using a duffle bag that's a little on the big side, but i'm using it to hold my other tire gauge and bag of tire caps as well. another plus with the bigger bag is that i can put it in the bag without zipping it up so that it can cool down without touching the sides of the bag at all. i have not and probably won't use the tips, so i can't say anything about those. ... show more

  • Works great for class C RV tires
Style: Analog Manual Fill
I have had several cheap tire inflators but they took too long or got very hot adding air to bigger tires. I finally decided to try a more expensive one and love it. It is small, comes in a nice bag, the power cord is a little short for longer RV's, so I added a short extenion with some #10 wire. It inflated a very low tire really fast. I don't think you need anything more powerful than this unit for large 16" size tires. ... show more
