This microphone is an unbelievable quality for the low price tag. The sound quality is well above average and picks up sound from a fair distance -- no need to put your mouth right up against it. If there's any downside, it's that the range is a bit too far compared to headset or directional microphones. So this will pick up mouse clicks, keyboard typing, and incidental noises very easily. I wouldn't necessarily call it a fault, but a design decision. If you just want good recording at a great price, buy this. If you cannot abide the mic picking up other noises, find something that will only capture sound from a narrow direction. ... show more

I bought this for my son, he needs to record a lot of things for some classes, and to be honest this is the first microphone we bought, after reading the reviews we decide to go with it, prices was good, so, if it didn’t work, well, we don’t lose a lot. To our surprise, this microphone is better than we expected. My son already has record a lot of things, not just a few a second of sound, but 10 or 15 minutes of audio for different projects. The setup was easy, he has windows 10 and it was basically plug and play. The audio quality is very good, obviously you’ll need some app for audio adjust to clear some of the static or background noise (but not all the time), but, for this price, you cannot expect a perfect microphone. With that being said, if you’re looking for a beginner’s microphone or affordable price and nice sound, this is the one for you. ... show more

Fantastic device. Super super easy to use - plug and play at it's easiest. I thought I would have to talk real slow for it to register but one can talk at a natural, fast pace and it will catch every word. Just say the punctuation you need and it will do that for you too. I am using mine for writing stories because often times my mind goes faster than I type and I can type pretty fast but this mic is amazing and goes as fast as I can speak. Perfect for writing down dreams as well. I used this mic with Microsoft Word. Just click a a mouse and press the button on the mic on and off I went. Ever since the stay-at-home days started, I've been using my Logitech G533 gaming headset for all my computer audio needs. It has a great mic (and sounds fantastic, BTW), but after months of near daily use I got tired of wearing a big headset for every call. I purchased this mic due to the reasonable price and the many rave reviews, and I am not disappointed! As a technical communicator, I need something with quality sound for recording as well as calls. I tested recording on this mic in OBS Studio and I'm quite pleased with how good my voice sounded. People on calls have told me that I come through loud and clear as well. It picks me up clearly from up to 2 feet away, and since it's omnidirectional it will pick up both me and another source of sound in the room, which is important for Zoom karaoke! As long as it's not right next to my laptop's speakers, it will not pick up stray audio. My jet-engine-loud air conditioner does sometimes come through if I'm set up in the living room, right next to the intake vent. The hardware itself feels sturdy, including the highly-flexible metal neck, and the base (with a 4x5" footprint) has a good weight to it. The mechanical ON/OFF switch, which has a solid in-and-out click, gives me peace of mind when I want to be sure I'm muted on a call. The ON light is fairly bright, so I covered it in a LightDims original strength sticker and it no longer bugs me (see picture). The cord length is just about perfect, since I'm on a laptop and didn't want to deal with a massive loop of cable cluttering up my desk, but it seems long enough to reach the back of any desktop case without any issues. Overall, this is an easy-to-use and high-quality microphone that has everything I need and nothing I don't. It's one of the most satisfying purchases I've made all year, and I highly recommend it if you need a good inexpensive mic. ... show more

Update: The seller worked with me to get the problem resolved, and the mic is working fine now. Thanks to TKGOU customer service for the good support! I wanted to like this mic, but the volume is too low for others to hear me during Skype meetings, even with the gain all the way up at 100%. If I get to within an inch or so of the mic, the volume is better, but then there is horrible clicking and popping, since that's closer than the mic is designed to operate. ... show more

Everything is zoom calls now. I had THREE yesterday. It's a terrible time for my laptop mic to get finicky, but that's what mine did! This mic was really inexpensive, but excellent quality. Way better than the headphone mics I'd tried to use. It's ideal for calls, and when I'm not using it for meetings, my son uses it for gaming. I love being able to still use the computer speakers and not having to wear a headset. It sits nicely on the desk, has good sensitivity, and I can even use it to make recordings for presentations (another must for quarantine). The quality stand is nice. My husband has a Blue Snoball mic, and the tripod broke really easily. This mic has a solid stand and is flexible, and as a layperson, I don't notice a huge difference in sound quality that can't be made up for in editing. On-off button is solid and easy to use--no accidentally telling your mates something you meant to mute! Altogether, this was a great buy! ... show more

    • This looks and operates like a mic well beyond its cost. Superb
I returned another mic and was somewhat reluctant to purchase this one given the rather economical price but it is superb. Now, to be clear, my use is not professional recording but rather for confidence calls that are increasingly taking place on my computer so this microphone paired with Bose computer speakers (on a new MacBook Air) create a conference environment well beyond any of the higher-end conference table gear (though this is just for my use, not a conf table). I highly recommend this mic and the whole notion of creating a conference system if you regularly are on the phone. I paired my iPhone with my Mac, enabled Wi-Fi calling and there is not better substitute. ... show more
