This product works well--just plug your existing headphones (with 3.5mm plug) into the one side and the USB-C into the phone. I recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy to the S20, but the S20 does not have a 3.5mm jack for headphones. I use a Bose noise-cancelling headset which has a 3.5mm plug.     • Don’t be fooled by the price, great adapters. Thicker cable than Apple’s “$9.00 for 1” adapter.
I was surprised by the quality of these adapters. My earphone jack snapped into place with a firm, secure connection. The wire connecting the ends is thicker than any other adapter I’ve used, even thicker than my earphone wires. When using the adapter, the sound is comparable to when I’m plugged directly into my older iPad. Good quality sound. These adapters would be a good value if they only included one adapter. If you still use earphones with wires, you can use this adapter to still have the option to use it on your newest device (Samsung, iPhone). Works well and feels sturdy. You can just leave it on your earphone plug and you won't even notice it. Downside is you can't charge it while using the earphones unless you have a wireless charger! Well made though. ... show more

I purchased this product because I was travelling soon and lost my last converter - a purchase from the Google Store would not arrive soon enough. I will make sure to leave time to purchase from the Google Store next time. This product does not work well. All sound channeled through the converter is 1) muffled and 2) accompanied with a static / white noise which overpowers the actual sound. This makes listening to music or audio generally (i.e. what you would expect to use a 35mm to USB-C converter for) impossible. It's like a bad noise cancelling feature except it cancels the noise you're trying to listen to. I'm returning this product and absolutely would not purchase it again. ... show more

Was able to plug basic headphones into it and heard sound. It's is exactly what was desired. I am not sure if it effected the sound quality because the headphones were new, but it did sound a litt flat. It could have been the cheap headphones tho too. Extremely tight fit on the C-cable end when plugging into my overpriced and over-rated Google Pixel 3 XL phone. Also VERY tight and hard connection to the four-conductor earphone plug. If you catch your cable on one of your doorknobs around the house, be ready to se-waste the earphones instead of them simply unplugging. Maybe plugs/connections will be a little looser with age, but first impression is these are not as good as a Google Brand in a box I had previously purchased. Also, plugged the earphone dongle cable into phone first without plugging earphones into dongle first AND THEY DID NOT WORK! Thought I had been sent a POS earphone dongle only good with Huawei type phones, but you have to plug your earphones into the dongle, as hard as it may be, FIRST before plugging it into your Google phone to make it work. Timw will tell if these Amazon Choice earphone dongles are really a "choice." ... show more
