Setup took a little time, just needed to be deliberate with each computer-to-switch connection and then from switch-to-monitor. Following pressing button, takes 1-2 seconds for keyboard, mouse and monitor to complete switch between computers. Also, hooked up the speakers through monitor (as audio jack existed there) and the sound is correctly piped form the appropriate computer. Overall works great. ... show more

I bought it and I don’t believe the positive reviews. I am tech savvy and could not get it to work with a PC and Mac (regardless of the set up, cables, etc). Everything works fine without switch, and all worked fine for me with two pcs and the switch. I also could not get it to work with 3 other Macs (new OS and old) also regardless of set up, cables - you name it. Basically, I tested it through and through and after hours of research, testing, double checking, no dice. Good luck to you if you’re buying this product, but my belief is another brand that costs more is probably what is needed if your set up is a Mac and PC. If you just need a PC though, I found it worked fine. I’d give them more stars but they claim it works with a Mac OS in their description and was not my experience. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Given that I have a limited amount of area to work with, the fact that it is surprisingly lightweight and does not take up much space on my desk is a significant advantage. It has a sleek appearance that mixes in nicely with the other technological devices that I have, thanks to the matte black finish. For the purpose of connecting my two computers to the switch, I made use of the USB cables that were included in the box. I was particularly grateful that the package had everything that I needed, including the controller. It didn't take me long to get the switch up and running since the directions were easy to understand. Because all of the HDMI and USB connections are properly labeled, it is simple and straightforward for me to connect my monitor, keyboard, and mouse without any potential for misunderstanding. I also linked my printer and external hard drive to the switch, which was a pleasant bonus that offered even more capability to the system. The picture quality is fantastic, and there is no discernible loss in clarity or color accuracy when moving between devices. I typically use a 4K monitor, and the image quality is superb. I really love the fact that the EDID adaptable function guarantees that the settings of my monitor are maintained across both computers. This KVM computer switch can have 2 computers share 1 monitor, it claims to have support for 8K resolution, and while I do not have an 8K display to test that claim, I doubt that it true. I used this on a 1080p monitor and it was very easy to setup and get connected, the build quality does feel cheap, but I have not had any issues when using it I hope that this was helpful and have a great day ... show more

    • HDMI partially worked, no EDID

Compact size, nice remote button. USB switching worked fine. Excellent price point If you are getting a "no signal" on your monitor, make sure you haven't swapped your USB and HDMI cables. If you plug USB 1 into USB 1 but HDMI 1 into HDMI 2 like a fool, then the monitor will detect the cable but not receive a signal. Once that was solved, got most of the way there. I could get both monitors to display, and switching from "2" to "1" worked fine, but "1" to "2" left a blank screen until I remove/replugged the HDMI cable. "2" is an HP laptop connecting via a docking station, so the problem might be the combination of the hub and the KVM. I tried different combinations of resolutions and HDR/SDR but no change. UPDATE: Bypassed the dock completely and the problem remained. Instead purchased another 8k KVM that included EDID emulation and that switched perfectly and also avoided the multi-monitor reconfiguration on Win10. So be sure to understand the implications of a non-EDID KVM before you purchase. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased this KVM switch for clean setup and to run two PC with single monitor, it is really good. Although in the video my desk is not clean but with this I can make my desk look clean and run two PC. It comes with two USB connector from KVM to PC, and a remote controller. Just plugged in the cable and it’s ready to use. Very easy to setup. Good thing is you won’t need extra power source to power it up. Just received and connected yesterday. So far, all's good. I have two MacMinis now smoothly and conveniently sharing one monitor. Unit is compact, cables not so much. I did have to buy two HDMI/HDMI cables to make the necessary connections. I've seen other reviews that indicate performance is not good long term, but for the price I was willing to take a chance and see how it goes. Provider does offer an extension that ups Amazon's 30 day return option to 1 year. Will probably do that. ... show more
