    • Bright light with good flexibility for positioning, phone mount and remote
I grabbed this because I was looking for a good lighting option for review pictures, and also thought it would be nice for a model set that I had with a bunch of really small pieces (spoiler, it worked really well for that). So my use so far has been predominantly for review pictures and whatnot, but the included phone mount and remote allow for other options such as unboxings, hands-on photos/videos (I've used it a little bit for that too), or maybe even some stop-motion stuff if you're feeling particularly industrious. The light itself is very bright, providing a very strong, even lighting. It can adjust for color temperature and brightness, and the mount is pretty flexible for the angle of the lighting too, though you're mostly going to get overhead, or slightly angled overhead lighting. The phone mount connects perpendicularly to the light mount, though there are several areas that can be adjusted on the phone mount arm to work around to a decent amount of angles to help you get the perfect shot. The included Bluetooth remote is a really nice addition for keeping your phone mounted without risking bumping it or moving it by pushing the screen to take a photo or start a video. It worked really well with the default camera app on my Android phone. It really just acts as a shutter button, either taking a photo, or starting/stopping a video if your phone is set to record video. I'm happy with how this light has worked, and hope to use a lot more for review photos/videos and any other models with really tiny pieces that I might pick up. ... show more

I took off the phone arm and I use this light for Zoom and Teams meetings. I have it mounted to the side of my monitor directed at my face. There are three different temperature settings; one that is cool white, one that is a balance of cool and warm white, and the last is a very warm color. I find the middle balance is best for my skin tone. There are four levels of brightness. I've found that the lowest power setting is best for where I have the light mounted. The other three settings, as can be seen in the photos, are too bright and overexpose my face. This little guy is great. I can click a button to turn it on, click a button to raise or lower the brightness and click another button for the color temperature. If you are thinking of using this for online meetings, give it a shot. I find this very useful for Zoom meetings. ... show more

Easy to assemble and very secure (maybe too much tension when using a phone, almost dialed emergency services due to the side buttons being depressed). This lamp is very customizable, with different Kelvin levels and brightness levels. The only thing this lamp left we wanting was more height for the lamp itself and I wish the cross bar would extend sideways from the vertical post. The shutter paired effortlessly with an iPhone 12 pro (I know, still rocking older tech), however, I did notice my phone battery drained a lot, so I will do additional testing to ensure that this remote is or is not the culprit. I attached this light on the back portion of the 6' white Lifetime table I purchased to stage picture taking, do candle making etc... I was able to use the clamp on this light to tighten it down on the lip of the edge of the plastic with no issues (so far) on the back of the table. Have the cord plugged in and is long enough and am extremely happy with this. I did take off the 'camera' holding piece (which unfortunately left a long screw hanging out - wish I could have removed it also but at a quick glance didn't see where I could) as I don't plan on using my phone to film with yet and prefer it out of the way. I have this angled in from a different area from the other light I got to keep shadows to an absolute minimum and between the two I think they will do a great job. ... show more

In the advertising picture, it shows that there is a quarter inch screw attachment for a camera. This is not the case if I also want to use the light in conjunction with a camera. If I want the camera to be placed so it's looking over a table and use the light, I can't. I have to use the clamp setting. There's no option to use a 1/4-in screw attachment with the boom arm. The only way to use the camera option is a straight up tripod. Only it's not a tripod, it's a clamp. The clamp isn't actually tall enough to fit on my table. And that's annoying. I've had to rig a c clamp with the table clamp to actually get it to stay on. The clamp part is not as tall as either of my tables. I have been able to mount the unit on top of an existing tripod I had which works better than clamping anyway. The light can go either portrait or landscape, and is also dimmable and can change the temperature warmth. This is very convenient and the light is well diffused. I was a little worried about the boom arm creating a harsh shadow over the table, but the light is diffused enough that this isn't really a significant problem. The boom arm does go in front of the light, and it would have been nice to have the light be under the boom arm so that there was no shadow. This is also impossible since there is no configuration for such a thing. The attachment for the boom arm is a ball joint only. The camera clamp attaches to it via a ball clamp. I have had to order a special ball clamp quarter inch adapter so that I can use it with my camera. This is extremely annoying and the picture in the advertisement is very misleading because it does show a quarter inch attachment. This is not on the boom arm! The boom arm only has the ball attachment. The height is pretty sufficient to go on top of a table, I do wish the boom arm were longer as well. The boom arm does extend the full length as advertised, but I do wish that there were an option to add a longer boom on this unit. It's quite a small unit and maybe it wouldn't handle the weight, however, it has worked for our needs, but with modifications. ... show more
