I bought two of these ceiling lights to replace a couple old pull-string lights. It was a bit of a pain standing on a step ladder, squeezing into a small closet to install these but installation was straightforward and everything worked perfectly. They put off quite a bit of light and worked perfectly for the closets in my kids’ rooms. I mounted the remotes on retractable tether cables on the side of each closet so they wouldn’t get lost. The only con I can really mention is minor. Since these are LED, if the power goes out in the house and comes back on in the middle of the night these lights turn on automatically and then my kids have to get up to turn them off. Definitely not a deal breaker (since I’ve dealt with that with other smart LED bulbs we use) but it’s worth mentioning. After screwing in 2 screws to attach the base mount to the ceiling, I connected the 2 wires to the 2 coming from my fixture, and the light came on. At first it was too bright, but then I saw the remote and put 2 x AAA batteries in it (didn't come with batteries), and next thing you know I'm stepping through shades of yellow and white, from a orangish yellow, to a yellow, to a white, to a bright white. Also was able to step the brightness up and down with the remote control dimmer function. This light is perfect, whoever is using this room now, whether it is me for work at my desk, or my daughter for her piano practice, we can have the light exactly as we like it. This light was dirt cheap compared to all of the features I am getting. For reference - I remodeled my whole 1st house and did lights, but now I'm in another place and the owner didn't want me to mess with things much, so this light being only 2 inches tall or so, and connecting right at the existing mount (which was covered with a plastic cover), was really my only option - it was either this or some $50+ option at Home Depot. Let me tell you, this beats any of the ones I saw at Home Depot for a fraction of the price. Finally, no more poorly lit room! ... show more

I bought this light for a walk in closet and it's perfect. Everything worked out of the box with no issues. The light is very bright at it's full setting, but can be reduced gradually to lower intensities as desired. The color temperature can also be changed from bright white to warm white and vice versa. All functions are done with a really sleek looking remote included. AAA batteries are not included. The only reason I give it four stars is because it does not have a label indicating UL or ETL certification. The AI generated response says this light is UL certified, but I doubt it. Since thus is a LED light, and since it looks well made, I don't believe there is reason to be concerned. However, if an problem arises from this light where Insurance is involved, it could be an issue. The light does not have a grounding wire, but again, there are no exposed metal parts. ... show more
