I normally don't do online reviews but I simply must share my most recent experience with the Transformer. I purchased the Transformer specifically for the purpose of taking it on an 8 day Viking Seine River cruise in France with daily stops at different ports and organized shore excursions scheduled for each day. I use a rollator walker on a daily basis and have a very difficult time standing or walking so I knew there would be no way for me to keep up with the group using my walker plus I would never have had the strength or stamina. The Transformer proved to be the ultimate solution! It was perfect in the airports because I could ride the scooter right up to the plane door and then auto fold it with my remote control for them to stow in cargo hold and to have waiting for me when I arrived at my next destination. When it came to my group tours, I really taxed this scooter to its limits. First of all, the tour bus drivers all loved the scooter since it could be easily folded and lifted for my many times on and off the bus. Because of the scooter, I was able to make it to every single destination of each daily tour including The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Palace of Versailles, Claude Monet's garden and home, Normandy Beaches, Napoleon's Chateau, and most of the way up to the ruins of a castle built by Richard I at the top of a very steep hill. I didn't miss a trick, even though the ship's program director tried to discourage me from taking a couple of the excursions because he felt like the terrain would be too rough for the scooter. I proved him wrong as the Transformer made it over probably the most uneven and the roughest cobblestone you will find anywhere at the Versailles Palace. Several of the small French towns that we toured also had fairly uneven cobblestone but this still didn't prove to be too much for the Transformer. It successfully got me over all types of terrain including the cobblestone, rough pavement, grass, loose gravel, sand, and up and down a few approximately 45 degree inclines. I was even able to ride the scooter up and down the gangplank to get on and off of the ship. I was a little bit worried about the battery charge but it lasted all day with the charge usually only diminishing by about 1/4. I recharged each night just to be safe. This scooter was simply amazing! People were talking about the scooter everywhere I went and many were taking pictures of it because they were interested in purchasing one for a loved one they knew could benefit from it as much as they could see that I did. The only one improvement that I could even possibly suggest is that it would be nice if the turning radius was just a little bit wider as you do have to do a little bit of maneuvering when in a very small space. Because of my Transformer, I was able to do and see everything I wanted to making this the vacation of my dreams and that would never have been possible without the scooter. I can now plan to take my next big vacation since I know that the Transformer can get me wherever I need to go. I know that the Transformer is not cheap, however, I look at it as an investment in my future to give me the freedom to go and see things all over the world that never would have been possible otherwise. Bravo to Solax for the brilliant design of this amazing scooter! UPDATE TO MY INITIAL REVIEW: I took my second trip to Europe with my Transformer Scooter. This was only the second time my scooter was used as it has been stored in my garage with me charging the battery every month since my initial trip to France when I bought it last year. We went on a 12 day cruise with land excursions in The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland, and Sweden. This time I could not get the remote control to unfold or fold the scooter. I just figured that the batteries needed to be replaced and there was always available help to manually fold and unfold it for me while on this trip. This really did concern me though because the scooter is now out of warranty but yet I have only used it on two vacations so I should not be having problems with it already. I managed to get through my trip and got to see lots of amazing sights that would never have been possible without the scooter so for that I am most grateful. The engineering design is very ingenious as it handles well on lots of different terrain and I could ride it up and down the gangplank of the ship and also up and down the ramps of the Hop On Hop Off buses that are very prevalent all over Europe. The tight turning radius does take some getting used to and the seat could stand to be a little more comfortable but otherwise this is a fantastic scooter which has opened up the world for me and allowed me to take trips I never thought possible. Everywhere I went people asked where I got the scooter and were taking pictures of it so I am sure I sold some of these units for the company without getting any sales commissions (just kidding). When I returned home, I replaced the batteries in my remote but still it will not unfold or fold the unit so I ordered a new remote and it still does not work. I am very disappointed as I really love the scooter but I am not physically able to manually fold and unfold the unit myself because I have trouble bending and that is the precise reason I bought this scooter in the first place was because this was all automated with the use of the remote. I want to make a plea to the manufacturer and hope they will see my posted review update and offer to send someone to fix my scooter at no cost to me given that it has only been used on two vacations. I read a comment on a different site that their folding mechanism was damaged and needed replacing but their scooter was still been under warranty at the time. This must be the problem with my scooter as well. I am very articulate and am a great salesperson for this product but only if it is working again as it should. This will be a testament to the product’s Customer Service so, if anyone at the Manufacturer is reading this, please contact me to help me solve my scooter’s folding issue so I can start planning my next trip! I promise that you will not be sorry if you can please just help me. ... show more

Dad likes the scooter because of the key fob, it looks very nice, and is easy to use. It's heavy to lift. It does great on a straight away but does make tight turns well. I am concerned about customer service because these are made overseas and there is no brick and mortar location to bring it in for a check up or repairs. You end up talking to distributors who are moving everything from soup to nuts and they cannot speak on behalf of the manufacturer. ... show more

I bought the Transformer Electric Folding Scooter, it has far exceeded my expectations. I received it within a few days. Sooner than I expected. I took it to San Antonio for 2 days and rode it up and down the Riverwalk. The Riverwalk is very rough and hilly and the scooter did wonderful. The battery lasted all day. Another reason I bought the Transformer is it has a key and it folds up with a remote control. I would recommend this scooter to anyone who wants a light weight scooter that they can put in the back of a SUV. ... show more

So pleased with how this scooter has made life for my husband and me so much easier. This scooter is easy enough to use in our home and yet works great out shopping too. The weight made it possible for us to get it into our SUV without having to purchase and extra equipment. This scooter is wonderful. I feel as though I have gained LIFE. Works like a charm. Because of Parkinson’s my balance is not good and COPD limits me somewhat as well. And this scooter is fun to ride, no pomplaints here ( and I hope none develop) 🤗🤗

I bought this scooter for my father and he is very happy with it. It's pretty light so it's excellent for travel, it charges very fast, it fits at any car trunk. He gets a lot of attention, folding with the remote is amazing.
