I bought this to practice balayage on. I haven't colored it yet so I can't comment on that part yet but it's a really nice head of hair. It was def worth the money. It was a few inches shorter than advertised but still long enough to practice braiding or what ever you'd like.

you can lighten this hair, it took me 4 hours with 40 volume bleach to get to a level seven on the brown mannequin head. you can blow dry, curl, and cut this hair. it’s not 100% human hair but it’s enough to be similar to practice. the density is pretty thin and there are a lot of split ends. when i tried to flat iron the hair, the ends never seemed to be sleek. i would probably have to cut to a short bob length to be rid of all the split ends. the hair is still pretty soft in spite of the split ends. ... show more

We’re incredibly pleased with this product. Hair securely on mannequin head, very few strands come out when brushing. I will say the length of hair is a bit shorter than what is pictured - I got the longest length available. It’s not a deal breaker though. Still long enough for a pony tail and all sorts of other practice. The face is still a tad creepy, but less off putting than some of the other options with other companies. Is everything misrepresented in Amazon. Ordered this head 20 - 22" long, human hair. It arrived, it stinks, at the most maybe 19" long and it's not human, at least not from this world. THIS IS THE WORSE HEAD TO DO ANYTHING ON. WHY DO THESE SELLERS CONTINUE TO ATTEMPT TO SCAM US CONSUMERS? SUCKS.

    • The hair is very nice, but the length is a misleading

I ordered 22”, but the one I received is barely 18 inches long. Initially I thought they sent the wrong item, so I ordered a replacement. The new one came exactly as the same as the first one. I wonder how on earth did they measure that as 22”? The other big issue I have with this one is the layers are too high. There volume is ok at the upper head, but gets a lot thinner towards the ends. When you do a ponytail you get very little hair, which makes it difficult to style. This is the 5th hair dummy I own, I have to say the quality of hair is very nice, the touch is quite similar to real hair. But the length is a big issue. This Doll head was so incredibly useful to me. I used her for my haircutting final in Cosmo school and I dyed her hair along the way. She worked just has great as my other doll heads that I received in my school Kit. I had the most fun with her. Her hair was great to cut and color. Great practice for me. Her hair is very soft. I washed her first, before doing any cutting or coloring on her. Some hair naturally falls out, but so do my other dolls. She has no bald spots. I’m extremely happy with her. I do use a face app on my manikin photos to give them more life, So know her face has a filter on it in my photos. I attached her before and all the cuts and styles I gave her. I will absolutely buy another doll head from here. So happy!!!!! ... show more
