60+ y/o active male, 5k walker (no, not with a walker, lol), gym workout, some running purchaser of 6 pair of various Topo this year. ALL have been great. Zero drop Topo Runventures we're my go to for x-training until I got these. The Pursuit seems wider in the front than Runventure. Mid-sole straps you in like a NASCAR driver. Nice! WAY DIFFERENT from Runventure is the heel support in this shoe. It definitely locks your heel in place, but there's almost a ridge like feel in the heel cup just in front and inside each heel that's difficult to get used to and not anything like I've found in my other Topo shoes. The added cushioning of these shoes is great while the Vibram sole still gives me the stability my body demands when I'm lifting weights. Quality and fit are great. Price...I don't care. I only get 2 legs and feet and I'm gonna take care of them. Highly recommend! ... show more

I used to wear the Altra Timp 4, they always fell apart, went through 3 pairs of them in less than a year. The longest any of them lasted was 3 months, and that was with them ending with the upper falling apart, insoles falling apart, tread almost completely worn off. The last pair had all of the above in just over a month. Now about the Topo Pursuit 2. It's night and day. While I've only put in about 15 days so far, there is no wear and tear on the upper, or the lugs, or the insoles. They are as plush as the day i got them, and I've covered around 140 miles so far. I'll never buy Altra again. This is a great shoe for a great price. The only thing I'd change is to make the toe box just a smidge wider. ... show more

Sadly the new generation does not feel like zero drop free shoes. They added weird foot support I find painful. This sadly destroyed my favorite trekking shoes and I’ll have to find new kind to wear.

I’ve worn Topo’s for many years. These are one of my fav’s. Fits well with a vibrant color. As always, regardless of which Topo’s I buy, hands down the best fit for those needing a roomier toe box.

Topo Athletic are still producing high quality , comfortable, efficient designed shoes. Unlike the other “A” brand. The Pursuit 2 feels slightly lighter, the vibram grip is amazing. I like the darker green color better than the light green they had with the Pursuit 1. I would just go half size up. That’s what I did with the Pursuit 1.
