I thought this would be a good unit to use in my pastry department. I have had the unit for some months now, maybe 6. Needless to say i have not used the unit super frequently. Making a ganache today and it just kept seizing up, the plastic gears seem to slip. If its too tight it will slip, if the product is thick it was coming loose by trying to hold it closed while blending. I have had better home immersion blenders. Not good for soap making. On the first use, it heated up within one minute then kept stopping. The power was also very weak at the highest setting . The soap never came to trace . I reverted back to using my old $20 stick blender to finish the batch. I am returning this item as it was a good waste of money. I would give it zero stars if I could. ... show more
