My life's goal has been finding the best bag for a specific purpose and I have achieved my goal, in the area of daily driver backpack /short weekend trip backpack --- this bag is great, it's big enough for my lunch, headphones, laptop, another layer, etc for my day out , and it expands for a weekend away. 2-3 days max tho. The "luggage" type thing is really useful for the weekend, and u don't even notice it if u use it for just the day. It has a tiny easy access pocket for like, charger, Advil, etc. Honestly it's just good. It works great, is comfortable, very padded , AND LIGHTWEIGHT !!! I've tried other bags (looking at you, Aer from SF) and their padding is so friggin heavy, and the bag is so overpadded you can't fit your lunch in there. Anyway I love this damn bag, I think it's water resistant too. I should have known Thule would make a banging bag!! Much respect to this bag and whoever designed it. Bang up job ... show more

I tried three packs (including an expensive Kuhl which I returned). This is lightweight. Not too many pockets that things get lost, but enough. Clam shell opening gives instant access to everything so nothing is buried. Water bottle pocket on side is snug so not drops. Outside pocket holds an iPad and phone plus more. Small enough so counts as personal item not carry on, but can unzip to expand to be a much larger pack when needed. Very durable and great looking. Very comfortable to carry. This is a great backpack. It holds around 30-33 lbs load without any hesitation. Back support us incredible. Very large space, special sections for my laptop and iPad. Few options to carry the backpack, holders and straps are very strong. 5 star product for air travel
