  • DOMINANT STRINGS SUCK!!!
I am extremely disappointed with Dominant strings. I have used them for many years, however the last 2 sets I bought the strings had a poor quality. The first time, E string had a terrible almost nasal sound. I had to put back the old string. I bought a second set in May 22, and now D and G strings have the SAME problem. I am done with dominant. Now I have to order a new set of a different brand to replace their crappie strings. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. ... show more

  • Very reliable
Quick delivery, which is a plus for me! Strings sound great. It does get out of tune for a few days, which is normal but well worth the price. Note: This is my 3rd purchase from this brand.

  • One broke so soon
Bought a set of 4. They came in 4 different envelopes. I noticed strings are not "straight" or they are not coiled smooth, there're bumps on the G and D. Not quite happy but having to go through the hassle of complaining, sending them back? Let me just give it a try. A and E are great. D string broke after 2 weeks at a fine tuning. The ball popped off revealing a frayed end. How could a "new" string frayed after 2 weeks and the son doesn't even practice a lot. High strings sound good. I just think I got an old/used D and potentially G as well. ... show more

  • Disappointing
My previous one is Thomastik rondo which is beautiful but also expansive. Wanna try this one because other people’s recommendation but I was very disappointed. If you have a nice violin don’t use these strings

  • Great strings
These are very good strings. A great help even for beginners who need all the help they can get. Quality produces quality.

  • Good quality
I can't compare this product with other brands because this is the only one I've used. Very happy with the sound.

  • Spend more money and buy better strings
Spend more money and buy better strings! These strings are awful! I’ve been playing violin for 16 years now and I’ve never bought worst strings than these ones! The sound quality is horrendous!

  • Deep, dark sound
We were looking for strings with a brighter sound, but these strings sound more alto in tone. Good quality but not quite our preferred mix.
