As a retired elementary school teacher, I like to find alternatives for my grandsons to their IPad videos and electronic games. A couple of years ago, I ordered Cat Crimes for the older one (now10) who loves cats. We played it a couple of times, but didn’t really get into it. This week the younger one (7) pulled it out. He loves animals. We worked on it together with me reading the cards & him placing the cats around the board. He really enjoyed it & begged me to order Dog Crimes ( he likes their 2 cats, but is more into dogs). So I did and it arrived the next day. Today both boys worked on a few cards in the Dog Crimes game & really enjoyed it. I did too as I was helping them. I think it works well with 2 people. One reads the card & the other places the animals. The game comes in a box about the size of a Kindle tablet. The characters are made of sturdy cardboard & are of a nice size. They have cardboard stands, so they stand up. The crimes are printed on round cardboard circles that you place on the playing board. I like logic games & the 3-D aspect makes this fun for kids. ... show more

My granddaughter took out this game for us to play. She is 10 years old. Some of the cards are easy and there are some that really make you think. It is really a great game to play with kids.

I bought this for my nephew’s 8th birthday. He played it with his 10 y/o brother, 12 y/o cousin (female), and his 7 y/o cousin (female). They loved it. Starts easier and gets harder in subsequent rounds. It’s a thinking style game so not for the quick and easy crowd.

My 7 and 13 year old both love this game. We bought cat crimes and I had been waiting for the price on this one to drop and it finally did. Great way to sneak in some reading practice, cooperative play and logic all in one. My little one is greatly amused that she can solve who pooped on the rug or ate the homework. My 8 year old loves this game! It IS designed for a single player, however, we all play it together with me reading the clues and my son and his dad figuring out who did the crime. We worked through 1/3 of the crimes the very first day. I love that it makes him really think and readjust his thinking based on new clues. I do wish the stands for the dogs were a bit sturdier, they tend to fall over. ... show more
