Skyward sword still holds up and the hd textures help it look nice on the switch. The motion controls are definitely the best way to play since handheld is difficult since you need to use the right thumbstick for the sword angle. I recommend skyward sword for those who want more zelda backstory.

This game is an incredible experience. The nostalgic feeling this game gives sends me right back to my childhood. Amazing story, fun combat and puzzles. The controls can feel a bit clunky due to the platform switch. Everything else that’s amazing about this game makes that tiny annoyance seem like nothing at all. So I did get the Europe version, it does still have the same English subtitles, but make sure you understand that this is not the US version. With that said, game still works and it’s fun thus far. Not the best controls for this game mechanically as it was originally for the Wii motion controls, so I just play it controller style and not with the joy cons. ... show more

The overall game is very very good. The graphics are really good especially because it was for the Wii, the music is very catchy, and the overall world is beautiful. Literally the only issue I have with the game is the controls. Now I actually like the motion controls in this game and I appreciate that it wasn’t unnecessarily shoved into places it didn’t need to be. Turning motion controls off literally hinders your gameplay. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t a hurdle you have to get over. It takes a while to get used to them. But once you do it becomes second nature. In the end this is an amazing game that rewards using your brain while also not being too hard. ... show more
