Description

Terramycin (with oxytetracycline hydrochloride and Polymyxin B Sulfate) ophthalmic ointment is an over-the-counter antibiotic treatment for eye infections caused by sensitive bacteria. Approved for use in dogs, cats, cattle, horses, and sheep, this broad-spectrum antibiotic helps combat a variety of eye infections, including pink eye, inflamed cornea, corneal ulcer, and inflammation of the eyelids. Terramycin works effectively to treat eye infections. This medication is applied topically to the eye of the animal. Terramycin requires a prescription in the State of California, AIF-00758R1.

Our cat had an irritated eye again from being scratched near his eye. Having dealt with this before, I knew what he would need and was so happy to find it OTC and able to get to us the next day. For the first couple of days we did three thin strips over his lashes/lash line so he’d blink it in, then two times a day until it cleared up (about 5 days total). And of course, I’d just advise not to just blindly buy antibiotic ointment such as this without having used it before, or knowing what you’re dealing with with your pet first. ... show more
