I've always been a heavy sleeper however due to back issues I have woken up most mornings in pain. I've had this mattress for 3 months and haven't woken up with back pain yet. Package was neatly wrapped and opening the mattress was simple. Make sure you have enough space though as it will pop open once the package is split open about 3/4 of the way.
