Description

Tele Vue Barlows: "An Optically Perfect Window" Properly designed Barlows do wonderful things. First, they amplify power while retaining the eyepiece's eye-relief. Second, they slow the telescope's f/, which improves eyepiece sharpness. Third, the designer can introduce compensations for eyepiece aberrations. Tele Vue's 1 1/4" 2x and 3x Barlows were envisioned as magnification windows. Multi-coated high index glasses assure optimum aberration correction, exceptional contrast and virtually no light loss. Tele Vue Barlows achieve their design goals even when tested by the fastest scopes. The Tele Vue design approach includes mechanical conveniences. The Barlows are parfocal with Tele Vue eyepieces. The 3X Barlow is threaded for 1 1/4" filters.

  • Make sure your scope can handle the boost
Beautiful but, it wasn't a good fit for my scope. Completely my issue, not the hardware. I did return it. The seller was understanding.

Great Barlow lens

  • Good price for World Class quality
I have and use three different Barlows: 1.) The Orion 2x Shorty 'Plus', manufactured in Japan, 1996 to '99. 2.) The Brandon 2.4x Dakin. 3.) The Televue 3x. All three are World Class in quality and image rendition. Partnered with any of several favorite eyepieces, I've enjoyed the thrills and goosebumps of hundreds of objects from double stars, globulars, planets and the Moon, to several faint nebulae. All three of these Barlows are exemplary as multipliers, to reach out a little farther into space, or to grab that extra intimate detail you hadn't seen before -- the rim of a lunar crater, a fifth star in the Trapezium, a double's hidden component, a sparkle in the core of a globular. Great stuff! You almost can't go wrong with Televue. Legend in a box. Highly recommended 5 Stars . ... show more
