  • A great trainer after I solved the connection issue. I can't say the same for the software.
I had trouble staying connected via bluetooth dongle and ant+ dongle, although it worked fine on my Iphone. I ended up adding a good bluetooth card to my PC. Now the trainer works great. I wish I could say the same for Tacx software. Everything was fine until my free trial was close to being up. I have tried to upgrade to a paid subscription but Tacx Cloud is not working and there is nothing I can do until someday maybe it works again. I guess I'll try Zwift again:( ... show more

  • This thing is so cool!
I knew these things were cool, and that's why I bought it. I had no idea just how cool though. I am using a pretty basic hardtail 29'er mountain bike, with just a 1x10 drivetrain, and it's working great. I started with a video on Tacx Fitness App that they called "easy" and I was sweatin big time. I also uploaded some GPX files of rides that I do regularly from Strava, which is super fun. Extremely quiet, very easy to set up and use. I was really torn between this and the Wahoo, and chose this because the Wahoo was out of stock everywhere. So far i'm not missing the Wahoo at all. I recommend this highly. ... show more

  • Great trainer for inclement weather!
Works very well with virtual software programs like Zwift!

  • Received used and broken item from Bicycle Addiction
Purchased from " Bicycle Addiction" I received an obviously used item in a box that was falling apart. With bad weather incoming I figured I would just set it up and if all worked I would deal with cosmetic issues. The trainer was completely siezed and even with my full bodyweight standing on a pedal I could not get it to spin. Called Garmin/Tacx support to troubleshoot, I ended up calling Amazon to return and file a complaint as it is completely unacceptable to send a used and broken item when a new one is purchased. My replacement (fulfilled by Amazon) arrives tomorrow, I hope I can add to this review with my thoughts on how the trainer actually works. ... show more

  • Power measurements are nonsense!
Believe the forums trashing the power numbers from this trainer. Measured them against my Favero Assioma pedals, was expecting 10-15W difference, loss in the drive train. Difference was more like 20-30W at 200W, and 40-50W at 300W, and >100W in a sprint or hard attack, so you can forget about Zwift racing on this. To make matters worse, the Bluetooth connection was finicky, and erg mode was unstable and would randomly cut out. All in all, not worth the money. Get something else, Saris or Wahoo, Tacx is garbage. ... show more
