Description

The Streamlight TLR-7 X features multi-fuel capability powered by either one (1) CR123A or one (1) Streamlight SL-B9 lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack, (sold seperately), both delivering 500 lumens and 5,000 candela. The integrated rail clamp is designed to rapidly attach/detach from the side of the weapon, providing smooth installation and removal without having to put your hands in front of the muzzle. Customizable rear paddle switches, momentary and constant on operation, and a programmable strobe mode offer additional versatility for many tactical applications.

I made this purchase in preparation for my new firearm acquisition that will be coming home shortly. I found a holster that stated it fit the S.A. Hellcat Pro with this light and that is how I came to my decision as to buy this item. I tested it out on my wife's Hellcat pro and it fits perfectly, and also tried it in the holster I bought for my Hellcat pro using my wife's firearm and it fits pretty good. It does not have that satisfying "click", but it does secure to the light vs the frame and you can feel when it reaches that secure point. The light itself is very bright, it has only one feature that I can tell, as I do not believe it has a low setting or strobe effect, but for the purposes of self defense carry and the want for a good weapon mounted light, this light is definitely comparable to other well known brands. It comes with different mounting clips for different rail types (Univ 1, 2, 1913 rail 1 and 2, and I believe a Gl rail) and it also comes with different switches and a tool to modify the switches with so you do not have to go out and buy additional items to make the mod with. I think it is a good, affordable option and should definitely considered, especially since it seems there is more holster support for streamlights in general vs other products in which I own. I am highly considering purchasing the black one for my wife's firearm as I purchased the tan and black for myself to match the FDE coloring on my new pistol. Color is a little different than my firearm, but it still matches really well. Right out of the box, I inserted the CR123 battery that came with it and turned it on with no issues. The mounting is a little tight when trying to get it into the correct picatinny slot on my P320. That and the light being a little more yellow than my liking are the only complaints I have. It's a pretty good value all around.
