These paper plates are uncoated, thin and bendy, so I would never use them to serve food. In my kitchen I use plain paper plates as disposable “cutting boards” when chopping vegetables, under a box grater when grating cheese or vegetables, or to hold various ingredients as I get them in place before beginning to cook a recipe. When I’m ready, it’s easy to pick up the plate and bend it to dump the contents into whatever cooking vessel or container it is going into. When I’m done, there’s no clean-up. I knew what I was getting and this was it. Buying quantity was the cheapest way so I got 500. We use a lot of these with the plastic plate under them for support. I am also very price conscious. I know inflation has made most all products go up but I check to see if these will ever go down because it's one item that went exponentially more than others. When will it come down? ... show more

You need to use two or three plates to hold a sandwich. You must purchase paper plates holders then they work well. Don't get them wet with your food.

Paper products are obscenely high priced these days for no reason. This item is less expensive than most others but the materials used to make it are very low cost for the manufacturer. Recommend avoiding buying paper products if you can avoid it
