    • Great accuracy in a reasonably priced caliper
If you’ve a machine that isn’t CNC you know that an accurate caliper is absolutely necessary to make good parts. You also know that a caliper in a shop can lead a rough life. Cheap calipers aren’t accurate and super accurate calipers are expensive and usually fragile. This caliper is in the “Goldilocks” region; reasonably priced, and accurate/repeatable to the 0.001” (yes it’s got a half a thousandth last digit but we all know that’s not repeatable in a caliper). Be aware that Starrett isn’t manufacturing this in the US which may be a requirement for certain contracts. ... show more

This long thing is quite useful! I can measure all the useless screws I have laying around my garage, which I’ll totally forget once I move onto the next one. It have a very sleek design and the silver is so shiny. The red trim just adds that little spark and brings the whole look together.     • What you Expect
Its a great mulit funtion tool. I use it on the shop floor. The MM and Inch is great. Plastic case is kinda cheap but other then that its a Starrett so it will hopefully hold up. The SS helps out when you work somewhere that doesnt let you bring in certain oils.

Comes in a decent plastic case with foam inside to protect the caliper. Beyond that it's just what you would expect from Starrett caliper.
