  • Fantastic

This slowed down my dogs eating tremendously and it is good mental stimulation for him to figure out how the food comes out. He is a puppy so he would bop all around the house with this thing. Getting food everywhere; but he’s getting a lot smarter on how the food comes out and he know can mostly keep it contained in one area. But it is still a positive challenge for him to get the food out. He loves this thing and I love it because it keeps him entertained for quite some time. I like to use this in the morning. He gets to eat from this thing and I’ll go get ready. It’s noisy enough for me to hear what he’s doing. My only gripe is that it is a little difficult to get the food in the top. We built a makeshift funnel with paper… but the hole should be larger to fill it. The hole on the side is adjustable which is perfect. My dog eats small kibble now because he is a puppy but I’m sure his adult food will be larger. So this should support a growing dog. Except filling it will be more difficult with the larger kibble. ... show more

  • Entertains my puppy!
Size: Small Number of Items: 1
I have an 11 month old terrier- about 12 lbs. I first bought a treat dispenser that laid flat on the floor and required knobs to be pushed and a swing cover to be moved to get to the food or treats. I got it when our dog was about 4 months old. First time using, she had all 7 hidden spots uncovered in about 1 minute. Too easy. A couple weeks ago I bought the bob-a-lot. Initially she was confused, knowing it had something inside that she wanted but not how to get it out. It actually took her about 5-6 minutes to figure out how to push it and get it to move. She loves it. I’ve made the dispenser hole a little smaller so she has move it more to finally get something out. I wanted something that was more of a challenge- and this works! I’m happy for something that’s a great 10 minute diversion. ... show more

  • Excellent Product!
Size: Large Number of Items: 1
I am so happy that I bought this feeder/toy for my one-year-old Aussie! Before I purchased it, my girl would eat well one day, then ignore her food the next day or two, and so on. However, because she is an Aussie, or a working dog by both nature and genetics, she loves having a job to do. So, now, she happily "works" for her food twice a day--every day--and loves it! And I love it, too. Not only is the item easy to fill, but I enjoy watching her bopping it with her nose or foot, and figuring out creative solutions to getting it out from under furniture or tight corners, etc. And, regardless of how often it gets bopped into furniture, it has done no damage whatsoever to anything. And, given that we have a few pieces of gorgeous Victorian furniture in our living room, this matters to us a great deal! Best of all, our dog is eating every day, twice a day, at a relaxed pace, and enjoying it thoroughly. In fact, although I still put a little dry food in her bowl, in case she gets hungry before I have the chance to fill her toy, she rarely, if ever, touches the food in her bowl. In fact, even though she sits beside me on the couch while I fill it, she doesn't even touch the wide-open container in which I have the food, despite having it right beside her. Instead, she waits patiently for me to put the toy down on the floor for her. After all, the toy is like a giant weeble (remember those?) that dispenses food, and how much would our kids have loved that, back in the day? So, I can, quite sincerely, highly recommend this toy! It is well designed, extremely sturdy, and easy to fill. Best of all, my dog loves it! She has several puzzle toys/feeders, but this is the one that she wants to use--exclusively now--because she has not grown tired of it or bored with it. Excellent design, excellent product, happy dog, and delighted doggy mom! Thank you! (Note: I was NOT given a free toy or asked to write a review. The opinions offered here were not influenced in any way by either the toy's manufacturer or its seller.) ... show more

  • My puppy is obsessed!
Size: Small Number of Items: 1
My puppy loves to scarf down her food and just slow feeder bowls worked but don’t add any excitement to dinner. I’ve been giving her at least half of each meal in this and she gets PUMPED to see me pick it up. She did quickly figure out how to pry the outside opening to the biggest setting to get the food out faster, but it still takes her at least 10 minutes to get it all out. Much better than the 30 seconds if it’s in her bowl or 1 minute if it’s in a slow feeder bowl. I’ve only had it for a few days so I can’t speak to durability, but I do make a point to take it away once she’s done eating because nothing is durable against puppy teeth! I do wish the inside hole was bigger - it’s covered up anyways so why make it so small? It’s not that big of a deal but it makes loading it slower than I’d like, you can’t just pour the food in. However, Clementine likes this so much that I won’t deduct a star from it for that. Maybe it’ll help teach her patience lol. ... show more

  • Better than Kong!
Size: Small Number of Items: 1
We have a Kong Wobbler for our Collie/Beagle mix and she loves it, but she "hits the jackpot" often. When we brought home our puppy (9 weeks now) I came across this in looking for puzzle feeders for him that had a smaller opening. The Starmark is perfect, and I wish I'd found it before I bought the Kong! I'm actually using it for my older dog because it makes it a challenge instead of just food dumping. We'll let the puppy get the jackpot Kong puzzle for now until he gets the hang of it. I also love the two separate compartments, so you can put kibble in the bottom and treats/kibble in the top for them to work for. Highly recommend. Will definitely buy a second once the baby gets the hang of the Kong. ... show more

  • Great Pet Toy for a rambunctious puppy
Size: Large Number of Items: 1
My almost 2 year old Lab loves this toy. You can make it easy to hard for them to get the treats out by opening or reducing the size of the holes at the top where you load the toy or at the bottom where the treats come out. I will say that she makes a fair amount of noise playing with this toy (especially when she drops it from her mouth) but I live in a single family home, which makes this less of an issue. Going to order a second one of these. ... show more
