This is a fantastic product. The color is a true sterling silver, not just a gray with shiny spots. The pigment blends well with resin, doesn't clump when exposed to slight humidity, and a little goes a long way. The pigment it well packaged in a plastic screw-topped jar. The jar is clearly labeled and packaged well. I have ordered just about every color from this company, and have not been dissatisfied with any of the product I have received. They all produce an amazing rainbow of colors, and some are even blacklight reflective. I have had the pleasure of interacting with the folks behind stardust micas. They are caring, fun loving folks that really do want to do right for the customer. They have social media accounts where they share customer photos and helpful tips. They have a peer support/advice facebook group where they and others will offer you tips and tricks on how to succeed with your projects and let you show them. But the heart of the company are the owners. The dedication and testing they do with their products are above and beyond. The clear labeling of what the products can and cannot be used for. The amount of dedication and even friendship they provide their customers before, during, and after purchase. Prime example - My father was hospitalized and died this last summer. I posted to my business social media accounts there would be a delay in service and why. Stardust micas was the only vendor I work with that offered support during the hospitalization, and condolences after his passing. This may not seem like much, but that level of caring shows in everything they do, and is one of the multitudes of reasons I choose to do business with them. So I have dealt with major hair loss for years and I literally started to look like Gollum from LOTR. I used to color my hair crazy colors and maybe that contributed to my hair loss (the main cause is my PCOS) but when I noticed the insane amount of hair loss, I resulted to using hair filler fibers from brands like Viviscal and Toppik. They only ever make basic hair color fibers like black, brown, blonde... Anyway, just cuz my hair was already like borderline non-existent, didn’t stop me from wanting pink hair - all 7 strands of it. So anyway, I bought the pink powder and I mixed it with the blonde Toppik hair filler fibers, just so it still gets that magnetic thing that makes it stick to hair so it’s not just like sitting on my scalp and started shaking it onto my head and wow, I had a full head of pink hair - 7 strands looked like a thousand. 10/10 would recommend to anybody who wants colorful hair, but has thin hair and is looking into something like this. This is like freshly fallen snow! It adds such an amazing “texture” and glimmer to what would be boring white pieces. This is my go-to Mica at Christmas. I have numerous micas from Stardust and they’re all so unique compared to other brands. The neon green is AMAZING! The eggplant is so pigmented and rich! Then there’s a blue-green I can never remember the name of that I love using for ocean pieces. Definitely recommend! And will repurchase (this was already my second) ... show more

I like this mica powder pigment overall. I bought it because I have several "reds" that just aren't truly red. This 'true red' pigment is miles better than the others I have tried. That said, it definitely isn't as red as I expected it to be. It takes quite a bit of pigment to be really bright and pigmented, and it is more light ans more opaque-like than I was aiming for. I was able to get a closer true red pigment by adding one or two drops of black alcohol ink. That darkens it up a bit and also removes the opaqueness. I will continue my hunt for a very true red, but in the mean time I am overall happy with this purchase, especially for the price. :) 4.2 stars! ... show more

The jar is not the best packaging. The stickers all over it have to be taken off to open the lid, and left the outside of the jar all sticky with residue. When you do open it, the dark pigment gets everywhere as there’s no extra plastic for security. I wish the design was better, because the powder is pretty, but it gets everywhere because of the way the package is just open. And when you go to close it, there’s powder collected in the ridges of the edge of the rim and again it gets everywhere. It’s a waste of the product and it’s messy because there is no extra cap inside to stop the weightless powder from going everywhere. It’s cool the mica powder itself can be used in cosmetics or anything you can think of but I wish they thought this through and designed the packaging better for the product. ... show more
