Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Staedtler pen, used as a replacement for the Remarkable 2 pen, has received generally positive reviews for its functionality and design. Users love its triangular shape, which prevents it from rolling off tables, and note that the pen has a smoother writing feel compared to others. Its eraser is softer and the pen also provides the same precision of touch on the pad.

Pros

  • 🔹 The triangular shape prevents it from rolling off surfaces.
  • 🔹 It offers a smoother writing experience.
  • 🔹 It features a softer eraser for efficient corrections.
  • 🔹 The pen's body is cozy and sits well in hand enhancing comfortable writing.
  • 🔹 Comes with wood detailing for added aesthetic appeal.

Cons

  • 🔻 The pen is slightly shorter in length than some other models, which could be odd for some users.
  • 🔻 It doesn't have a magnet to attach it to the tablet.
  • 🔻 Some users reported inconsistencies in its function.
  • 🔻 Absence of a clip for secure attachment or holding.

Should I Buy It?

Given the Staedtler pen's excellent writing experience, comfort, and accuracy, coupled with positive user reviews, it is certainly a worthy investment. If the minor cons such as the pen's slightly shorter length or lack of a magnet are not considerable drawbacks to you, then this pen could be a great fit for you.

  • Favorite replacement for Remarkable 2 pen
Style: Noris digital jumbo Pattern Name: Noris digital
I am very happy with this as a replacement pen to the Remarkable 2 with eraser. I love the triangular shape probably most of all- it does not roll off of my desk or random tables that I sit at in labs at work (most of my dropping pens is due to them rolling off tables). The writing is very smooth- smoother than the Remarkable or King Write. It's like the difference between a pencil (the remarkable & king write feeling) and felt tip marker (this pen's feeling). I am happy with it. I love that the eraser has a bit more give than the other pens, so I am not worried about it scratching my Remarkable. It is a bit shorter than the other pens, which is a little bit strange at times, but it is long enough that it is fine. I do sometimes miss the magnet, but mostly the magnet for the other pens was not very effective, such that it would result in the pen falling onto the ground or into my backpack... So I like that I don't accidentally lose/drop the pen because of the magnet now - I just handle it a bit differently and put the pen in a different pocket in my backpack (like I would do with a paper notebook) rather than try to attach it to the remarkable. My previous remarkable 1 case had a spot to attach a pen which I loved and may try again in the future, but that's not worth the $50 for a new case to me. I have had this for ~2 weeks now with great results. I will update on durability if/when I have issues. Background I have a tendency to drop things. After being dropped too many times, the writing end of my original remarkable 2 pen (with eraser) broke so that it would not hold the tips in place anymore (1-2 yrs of use). I replaced it with a KingWrite pen, which was nice at first. It did not last nearly as long as the Remarkable 2 pen and broke in half after being dropped within a month or so. I was able to glue it back together, and then finally ended up using electrical tape to keep it together. (The writing half would work without the eraser half if I did not glue it back together, but it would be quite short...) It worked for a month or few more before I dropped it again and needed to replace the tip. I was traveling and had accidentally left the tips at home. So it was $25 for new tips for a broken pen, or $50-60 for a new different pen... ... show more

  • Staedtler Pen: The Remarkably Smooth and Affordable Successor to your Remarkable 2 Pen
Style: Noris digital jumbo Pattern Name: Noris digital
After looking at my replacement options, the Staedtler pen proves to be a great replacement for the Remarkable 2 pen. I made the mistake of buying the pen without an eraser when I purchased my RM2. My wife has a RM2 as well with an eraser pen and I became jealous. The pen’s triangular shape is one of its defining features, providing a practical design that prevents the pen from rolling off the desk or any other surface. Writing with the Staedtler pen offers an exceptionally smooth experience, like using a felt-tip marker rather than a pencil. This finesse in its functionality is a huge plus, making writing more enjoyable compared to the Remarkable pen. The pen also offers the same precision as the RM2 pen, ensuring the point touches the pad accurately where the line is drawn. Its eraser is notably softer the RM2 pen. Despite the eraser having a grippy feel that some might not prefer, the overall performance seems to be the same as the RM2 pen. The aesthetic details have not been overlooked, with a charming touch of wood detailing adding to its appeal. There are a few things to consider before making the purchase. The pen's length is a tad shorter than the RM2 pen, which could feel slightly odd at first, though it doesn't hamper the overall writing experience. The lack of a magnet to attach it to the tablet can be an inconvenience for some, but its distinct look makes it easy to spot, reducing the chance of misplacing it. Some reviewers have experienced slight inconsistencies in its function, but I have not experienced this. Despite a few compromises, the Staedtler pen wins big in essential areas such as functionality, comfort, accuracy, and value for money, making it a strong contender and a preferred choice among Remarkable 2 pen users. This pen is recommended to any Remarkable user seeking a primary or backup pen - it's unlikely you'll regret the investment. ... show more

  • The best pen for SuperNote!
Style: Noris digital jumbo Pattern Name: Noris digital
I admit to buying ALL the pens for my SuperNote when I got it. I just had to try them all out. I am always on the search for the perfect pen in life. The Staedtler Jumbo is the ringer for me. I have purchased many of these so I can have them in every bag and place I may need them. (Because my SuperNote is useless without an EMR Stylist). This is a no-nonsense option, not fussy with things you don't need. The eraser "works" in a pinch, but I wouldn't consider using it like you use the eraser on an actual pencil. It's lightweight and reminiscent of the pencils I used as a kid. Other pens I tried/have: Lamy, Standard Pen, Wacom One Pen, and Staedtler Noris Digital Jumbo ... show more

  • Love at first grip
Style: Noris digital jumbo Pattern Name: Noris digital
I was using a much thinner pen, and it was doing the job, but after seeing vids on YT about this pen, I bought one and as soon as I held it, I knew it was the perfect writing instrument for me. It's easy to hold, the shape sits beautifully in my hand, and the writing is smooth.

  • Great Device!
Style: Noris digital jumbo Pattern Name: Noris digital
For about the same cost as a reorder of nibs for the reMarkable2 OEM stylus, you can get THIS stylus! It works GREAT and feels better than the reMarkable2 stylus. It doesn’t have the magnetic connection the the tablet so be sure to get a cover with a place for the stylus. Otherwise it’s superior in every way! ... show more

  • great digital pencil at affordable price
Style: Noris digital jumbo Pattern Name: Noris digital
this digital pen/pencil feels very natural and enjoyable to work with on my supernote a5X the reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is at least for me the lack of clip to be able to hold it or stick it to the folder. my personal solution was to 3d print one, but i think it should be add to the product. ... show more
