    • Best screen protector for use with the fingerprint reader
A few months ago I upgraded from a Galaxy S10e which has a fingerprint reader on the power button to a Galaxy S22 which has the fingerprint reader on the screen. I love the fingerprint reader as it's very fast and secure and I never had problems with the fingerprint reader on the S10e. Because the fingerprint reader is on the screen with the S22, using a screen protector can cause issues. While I know the gorilla glass used on this phone is supposed to be the strongest and most scratch resistant phone glass ever developed, it can still get scratched so I prefer to have a screen protector as it's a lot cheaper and easier to replace a screen protector than it is to replace the phone screen. I've tried three different tempered glass screen protectors, all of which claimed to work with the fingerprint reader, but all prevented it from working to varying degrees. The best was a cheep one from Doxlion which worked about 70% of the time. This Spigen NeoFlex Solid screen protector works great with the fingerprint reader. In fact it works as well as no screen protector at all and works about 99% with recognition being noticeably faster compared to a tempered glass protector. Unfortunately being a film instead of glass, doing a perfect installation is not as easy compared to the tempered glass protectors. Despite using the dust sticker and lots of spray I ended up with two specs of dust and a number of air bubbles trapped under the screen protector. The bubbles I was able to eventually work out, however in order to remove the dust I'll have to remove the protector, remove the dust, and attempt to install it again which also may result in dust. Additionally this screen protector seems to be a magnet for fingerprints as after using the phone for a bit I noticed fingerprints all over the screen. The tempered glass protectors I've used have a special coating that prevents fingerprints which I'm assuming this does not have and for that reason I'm removing a star. Additionally, while all the tempered glass protectors I've tried included a protector for the cameras, this did not. If you use the fingerprint reader on your S22, I highly recommend this screen protector as I've yet to find one that works better with the fingerprint reader. If you do not use the fingerprint reader you'll be happier with a tempered glass protector. Update: After using this screen protector for almost 2 months (far longer than any other screen protector I've tried) I stick with my original opinion. I have had NO issues using the fingerprint reader with this screen protector and I've been able to unlock the phone with my fingerprint nearly 100% of the time on the first try. The bubbles caused by specs of dust when I installed the protector are still there two months later. It's a magnet for fingerprints. I clean it with eyeglass cleaner almost everyday. If it had a coating that would prevent fingerprints while not affecting the fingerprint reader it would be the perfect screen protector for the S22. Unfortunately I've yet to find something better as other plastic screen protectors that do have an anti-fingerprint coating have reviews complaining about the fingerprint reader. ... show more

    • Good screen protector but easily scratched
As the title says... It's a good screen protector, easy to install, but easily got scratched up within a month or so of having it on. Only really see em when in the sunlight I guess.

    • No problems at all!
I was skeptical about it after I saw the reviews but figured I'd try it since I am comfortable with the company. While I will admit the installation is a bit quirky, with having to "spray your hands with the solution", the kit comes with everything you need to be as sure as possible you have no bubbles or dust under the screen. It comes with a microfiber cloth, stickers, and a card with cloth on the end to push out and absorb the liquid once it's on the screen. Also, maybe the guy who said it caused pixelation really went overboard with the solution since it looks practically as clear as without the protector (you REALLY have to look to see any hints of pixelation). Installation was perfectly fine with the Spigen case and fits the phone perfectly. While yeah, it is kind of misleading since it isn't glass (it's a plastic film), 2 screen protectors and a full kit is good for the price. ... show more

As someone who always gets spigen stuff, I really do like the products. I have had this type of screen protector previously for other Galaxy devices. But neither installed correctly. I ended up ordering a glass protector from someone else ( no s22 glass protector? ) it's on there and protects but is not spigen quality. This is one time I suggest passing. ... show more

    • Be Dust Free
Spigen is a pretty consistent brand and this protector is no exception. Simple to install, they give you two protectors and their instructions are clear. The only recommendation I have is in applying the protector. When you do so make sure, without a doubt, there are no dust particles on your screen. When you moisten the protector to apply it, you cannot see any particulants and will only see them when it dries. So take extra time and be patient if you want it perfect. ... show more

    • Nice, But I Won't Keep It
I got this screen saver for my new Samsung Galaxy S22. I have used the previous film version of this screen protector successfully on my previous phone, although the fingerprint reading didn't work too well. But I like Spigen stuff so I put up with that. When installed perfectly, this new "solid" version works quite well....fits well, fingerprint reader works well, very clear / invisible, seems to provide good protection. BUT, perfection is hard to get. While it is generally easy to install, I failed 3 out of 4 attempts. It is nearly impossible to install without "bubbles" being left visible. They are supposed to disappear after a day or so, but they don't and unlike the film version, you can't just squeeze them off the side of the screen as you install it. And if there is the slightest bit of debris on the screen, it shows up as a perfectly round circle that is quite visible on a dark background screen and doesn't go away. I tried installing 4 of these screens and only got one...on my wife's phone....to be without significant bubbles. I know it is up to me to keep dirt off the screen when installing this protector, but that seems to be near impossible for me and the screen is then very unforgiving. So.... I got the Samsung screen saver and it is great. It is a film like the old version of the Spigen, and it comes with a little fixture that makes it very easy to position the film on the screen and to squeegee it into place. While there is no liquid involved with the installation, you can still squeegee any small bubbles out. And the fingerprint function works fine. This is the route I will go in the future.
