I bought this to use in my office to hold paperclips and it's perfect. I have the large size paperclips in mine to give you a better estimate of the size. Im pretty happy with this little trinket tray although it's a little rougher around the edges than I expected compared the product photos. It looks bigger in the pics I think so if size matters, look at the specs carefully. The image is gorgeous, the llamas are adorable, and the colors are bright and really pop. I didn't notice immediately because of the glossy coating, but there are are a few small imperfections on the main part, like little dents and bumps. They aren't too noticeable most of the time but they stand out when light hits it right as I tried capturing in the picture, and I can feel them. I expected it to be nice and smooth so this was a bit disappointing. Another little issue is with the raised sides of the tray. The gold paint on it is not glossy like the rest but is a bit more matte and feels mildly rougher to the touch. There are also a lot of very visible, unevenly spaced bumps all around the edge, sort of like extra drops of paint that dried above the rest. I don't believe it's intentionally designed like that because they are oddly spaced and mainly concentrated on one side. I do really love the colorful and cute llamas so I'll definitely still use it. It just isn't quite the quality I imagined based on the photos although that might explain the low price. It's lighter than I expected but it does seem pretty solid. If there was another design I adored that was super on sale I'd still even consider getting it although this time I'd know to expect the sort of slight imperfections you see on handcrafted items. ... show more

My Amazon search was “magnetic bobby pin tray”. I was expecting the search results to provide me with a list of magnetic bobby pin trays so I proceeded to browse. I cam across this one and I loved the design so I ordered it. I received at my doorstep and opened up the package. I immediately test the product for what my intended use was and to my utter disappointment the bobby pins did not stick to the tray! This is just a tray, that is all it is. Don’t waste your money if you want a magnetic tray because this is not one. This is not the first time Amazon search results has steered me in the wrong direction. The information does state it is "small" and you have to read even further to realize just how small it really is. The person that wanted this was under the impression that it was a normal size plate, which in a way I don't blame them since there are not pictures that display its' relative size. At the end they were a little disappointed with the product, needless to say the tray came with a yellowish hue rather than the beige or white color as displayed in the picture. I got this as a gift for my friend’s birthday. I thought this would make a cute gift. The new year has not been off to a good start for either of us...I thought this was a less tacky way of sending encouragement compared to a lot of things I saw...It is small but still useful for small piece of jewelry or a tea light dish....it’s a reasonable price for what it’s. Cute but obviously made very cheap. I was excited to get this item for my sisters birthday and it arrivered already damaged by the lettering, and when I took the tag off the back the paint came with it no problem. Very unsatisfied
