I've been using this juicer for a while now, and overall, I'm satisfied. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because the manufacturer doesn't provide good maintenance and cleaning videos, which makes the disassembly a bit challenging (it arrives preassembled). However, once you figure it out, it's quite easy. Cleaning juicers can be a hassle, but this is the easiest one I've used so far. Performance-wise, the juicer works well. It handles carrots, though it does creak and shake a bit, but it gets the job done. Leafy greens and celery juice smoothly. The only issue I've encountered is with broccoli, which strains the motor and emits a slight burning smell, so I’ve stopped juicing broccoli. I pour in a little water with low-water vegetables as well to keep it running smoothly, particularly with dry leafy greens like kale. I’ve seen demonstrations of this juicer handling ginger, but I’m skeptical. I’ve damaged high-end juicers with ginger before and don’t want to risk it. Other roots like beets and carrots are fine. It does a fantastic job with apples and oranges, producing virtually pulp-free juice. I use it every day and am very pleased with its performance. The only lingering question is durability. Time will tell if it lasts. Considering the $150 price tag, I was skeptical, but I’m growing more optimistic every day. At this point, I highly recommend this product. ... show more

    • Wide Chute Slow Juicer is the best

This is my second slow juicer. My first one had a skinny chute that I would use once or twice a week. I would spend about 2 hours cutting veggies up, then juicing a big load. Cutting the fruit and veggies to small pieces got tiring after a few months and I stopped using it. I am so glad for this wide chute slow juicer. The unit was very easy to remove from the box and assemble. Not having to cut up carrots into bite size pieces before juicing felt good. The juicer is sturdy and powerful.. Each single whole carrot got broken down within seconds of placing it in the chute. The pulp was dry. The only negative is that at the end there was some carrot pulp that stayed collected in the chute and did not go to the juicer. The slant design of the chute prevents from making sure every bit of precious vegetable and fruit goes can be juiced. The wand to use in the chute has a grover and canot be turned around. Clean up was a breeze. I was told my first time around that the jslow juicer has to be washed right away to prevent a messy cleanup later as the bits of fruit and veggie can stick. This unit is dishwasher safe but i just wash it by hand so its not sitting waiting to be washed. I would highly recommend this juicer to anyone who is looking for a slower juicer. Strong built, easy to operate and to clean. I used it daily to extract juice from lots of fresh carrots. I also combine with beetroots, apples, oranges, etc. It seldom happens, but in the event of getting stuck it auto reverses. I like that feature.

Plastic just keep completely broke off the main part as soon as I started using it. Off button wouldn't work. Made a huge mess. The part that you put the veggies in and the part that connects to the machine just snapped completely off within 2 minutes of turning it on. So disappointed. I got it for my birthday and it's been less than 2 months. I have barely got to use it. Just got a bunch of veggies to start a juice week and now it's completely garbage. ... show more

First time using the cold pressed and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! I have a high end regular (centrifugal) juicer and it sits collecting dust now! The pulp comes out much much drier and you get so much more juice with the cold pressed. With the cold press, juice lasts longer when stored. Of course, it has to be stored in the fridge or u may freeze it. Yes it has a little noise grinding down harder pieces but its still quieter than the reg juicers. They give your a few starter recipes. They say don't use mango and the reason being is it clogs the mesh quickly. All you have to do is unplug it, remove the pieces and clean the mesh. Put it back together and run it again. You may have to remove the feed tube as well to not lose the juice bc the juice will back up into it when clogged. If you do mango, do it last. Beets cut into smaller chunks to make it easier on the machine. Overall, a very good product. I'll give it a 9/10 only due to the small mesh and not knowing the longevity of the machine itself.
