  • Great Prebuilt for the Money
Style: 10400F | 2060
This is a surprisingly good prebuilt for the price. Pros- -When they say no bloatware they mean it. -The RTX 2060 isn't top of the line by any means but certainly gets the job done especially with 1080p or even 1440p gaming, even 4k is doable if you are willing to sacrifice in some areas. -As every system should these days it comes with SSD as standard and while it could use with a bit more space (you may want to buy some secondary storage, I bought a SATA SSD as secondary storage myself) it's super fast and loads pretty much everything in no time. Heck the PC cold boot time is like 15 seconds at most. -The cable management is great, very neat and tidy. -There is plenty of breathing room for upgrades. Cons- -That 8gb of ram is not only a fairly small amount for any build these days but it also ships with a single 8gb stick so it's running in single channel. Highly recommended that if you buy this you get yourself a ram kit because it WILL be a bottleneck. -The included keyboard isn't so bad, it's definitely got some heft thanks to the metal bottom and the keys are decent. The included mouse is super mediocre though, very generic feeling so if you care about that you may have to buy a better mouse. All in all I have seen far worse prebuilts going for even more money so for what it's worth, if you are looking to get into PC gaming and don't want to build your own rig AND you don't mind having to spring for a RAM kit (which granted are pretty cheap) than I say go for it. On top of that while I haven't personally dealt with Skytech as company myself yet, I have heard good things so take that for what it is worth. ... show more

  • I'm not gonna say it's terrible.
Style: Gaming Computer
Soooo... Where do I even begin? I ordered this PC because I needed to run programs like Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, ZBrush, so that I can make custom content for The Sims 4 game. My HP laptop was great, but it wasn't cutting it. After several failed attempts at ordering a custom build, I just ended up getting this because it seemed to have what I needed for the best price. Now I made this purchase in March 2021, it ran great, was fast handled all games and programs very well, although every now and then when making high poly meshes in Marvelous Designer it would slow a little. However I thought this was the best PC ever ... Until it happened.... MY SSD DIED! with what I thought was no warning. I should've had my data backed up but.... Silly me, I didn't. So I dug deep and started researching. I became a mini PC wiz, and by mini I mean I am in no way whatsoever an expert. After thinking back this PC had given me a few different warning signs that it was on it's way out... Such as : blue screening, reboot device errors, updating out of nowhere, and the USB plugs in the back barely going all the way in. Well I was a novice at those times and had no clue that those things meant bad. So when my SSD died and I had to open up the PC and start moving things around, I realized just how not well put together this machine was. 1. Very cramped and wires easily pinch. 2. Can barely move things around inside based on position of graphics card and power supply. 3. SSD is on the other side where the wires are all cramped together really bad. 4. Only 2 ram slots 5. MOST OF ALL .... THE CHEAPEST MOST EASILY BROKEN HARDWARE IS USED IN THIS BUILD. Did research on the SSD.... Terrible brand known for dying within months! Called Tech support, they offered to send a new one, but just "whatevered" me otherwise. Now I will say minus those things this is a pretty good PC... I ended up upgrading to 16gb RAM instead of 8, and I upgraded to a 1TB Samsung SSD. I also got new SATA cables. Lastly, my advice..... This is good if you don't really wanna build your own, but might want to do simple future upgrades.... Or if you're not trying to purchase your own graphics card, you might as well buy this just for the case and graphics card, maybe the motherboard, and then upgrade everything else. However if you're a real wiz.... Build your own, or be prepared for disappointment eventually. Mine went down in less than a year, but due to the upgrades I made seems to be doing better. PS: If you get one with a PNY SSD.... Get a better one immediately!! PPS: BACK UP YOUR FILES!!!! ... show more

  • * ADDING STARS *
Style: 3600 | 1660
*UPDATE* I dig this computer's vibe. That's why I'm happy to report many of the issues listed below - I have solved. I mean.. it was a very annoying process (hence the 4/5 stars) but after some workarounds, this computer is running strong. I just had to add a logitech USB bluetooth receiver, and a USB auxiliary wifi antenna. Also important --- find/run drivers for these devices haaa... Glad I'm hanging on to this computers. Thing's cool. I wanted so badly to love this PC. I did tireless research and this seemed to be the best purchase. I was entranced by the shiny aesthetics out of the box and was excited to get up and running with this rig. But after 2 weeks of use, I can say that this setup if practically garbage. USB connections fail often. This means that keyboard and mouse will disconnect on an average of 45 minutes. But bluetooth?! Haha this paperweight doesn't come equipped with that basic technology. Nevertheless, I plugged in my own bluetooth receiver and had... glitchy results. Having to shut my mouse on and off over and over. Then there's the wifi connectivity. Holy shidd, this thing sucks. Lowest bars ever. Constantly dropped internet feed and 10 feet from an high-end router. How is this possible?! The most basic of system requirements!!! Really sucks realizing I bought a dud. I thought I was being a thoughtful consumer. When in reality I should have spent 2x to get the optimal (basic?) performance I require. jEESUZ ... show more
