It's all about the ink. These pens last much longer than any other pen I've owned, and the ink quality remains dark and consistent until near the end of life. I remove one star for the mechanical design. The threaded barrel tends to loosen and needs occasional tightening. The clicker mechanism gets repeatedly stuck on some pens, requiring unthreading the barrel to retract the pen. There's a little too much clearance between the tip of the ink cartridge and the metal shroud at the tip. However, the pens mostly function well and the material feels solid. I will continue buying these in bulk and using them daily. I hate bics and similar cheap pens. Gels seem to smear or run out of ink too early. ... show more
