  • Pretty good
Color: Gray & Blue Steel Mesh
It looks nice, only complaint is setting date and time feels a little finicky.

  • very stylish watch from a company pretty solid record for me
Color: Gray & Orange Steel Mesh
I've worn Skagen watches for years and every one of them received unsolicited compliments, esp one they no longer make. But my other two lasted probably average of 6 years. Batteries need replacing every 6 mo to 1 year but they keep time well although the second hand does not precisely align with the second tics on the watch face and to me that just yells cheap. In every other way--size, weight heft, comfort, awareness--it really feels super nice and I have no doubt I will get compliments on this one too. From experience I would not subject this or any other Skagen watch to heavy duty work. It will actually take it but the crystal will get scratched or in worse cases can be cracked. In fact, that's why I needed a new watch. I tried a cheap $30 casio--perfectly acceptable and a decent watch but just not for me. So there ya have it maties..hope this info serves ya well! ... show more

  • Nice watch
Color: Charcoal/Blue
I love the watch for style and function. This watch has the day & date, and it contains English & Spanish languages for the days. However, I am unable to set the day on the Spanish language; it just appears briefly between the day changes. Good luck getting support from Skagen - they offer repair services but nothing about setting the day language. ... show more

  • The band/bracelet is the best part
Color: Gray & Blue Steel Mesh
I like Skagens and have had many before. This one is typical of the larger-diameter models. I particularly like the mat finish of the mesh band/bracelet. That's the best aspect of the watch. The mesh keeps your arm cool in all weather conditions (much better than, say, leather). The polished-surface segments around the bezel are visually annoying. I wish it were just smooth & rounded. Like with other Skagens, I really like how the watch does not get "hung up" on ones' shirt cuffs. The watch is light and low-profile (both dimensionally and in terms of it's overall visual impression). Some reviewers don't like the clasp. But for those who have other Skagens, be advised that it's the same, normal Skagen clasp that's on other models. It's got a day+date function, which I will disregard because I can't read it anyway (too small for my current visual acuity). There's a relatively high amount (maybe 10 degrees?) of lash/"play" when rotating the crown to adjust the time. It's not a big deal, but it doesn't give the feel of precision or high quality. (I just checked one of my older Skagens, and it's the same. So just be advised.) One reason I buy these is because the faces are relatively large, plain and easy-to-read. This one's harder to read quickly than others. The face isn't as clear -- the hands aren't as distinct -- as in the promotional photos. Depending on the lighting, I must rotate my wrist to get a good read. Finally, the packaging it arrived in was odd. In the past, Skagens have been packed firmly and securely in a proper, "sealed" box. This one wasn't like that. The box was open on one side, and the watch was fastened around a pillow and was just sort of *laying* in there. It wasn't secured or mounted in any way. Not sure what's going on there. Definitely inconsistent with prior Skagens. I'm keeping the watch, but I must say that I do not have a feeling of 100% confidence that I actually received a truly "new" piece. ... show more

  • I THINK THE WATCH IS GREAT BUT BE CAREFUL WITH BATTERY REPLACEMENT.
Color: Black/Gray Steel Mesh
Style is a matter of personal opinion but in my opinion this is a nice looking watch. The brown version is also stylish if brown is your preference. I was cursed with thin bones and a small wrist. This watch is exceptionally thin and does not look either conspicuous or out of place when I wear it. But people notice it and favorably comment on its appearance. This is the second of this specific Skagen SKW6006 watch that I have owned. After a couple years the battery failed in my initial watch. I took it to Walmart to have the battery replaced and that proved to be a significant judgment error. Walmart scratched up the back of the watch, may or may not have installed the correct battery, apparently messed up the actual watch mechanism with the battery installation since it quit working soon after, and may well have made the watch either unrepairable or uneconomically repairable. Walmart had succesfully replaced batteries in other watches that I have owned so I don't know the exact point in the chain of battery replacement events that damaged my Skagen watch. Regardless because even though I am certain that Walmart damaged my watch there is no point in challenging them since it was working when I left the store. The next morning the second hand would unsuccesfully try to advance and the watch no longer worked. I purchased from Amazon a second identical model watch at a much lower price than my first Skagen watch because I really like this model watch. I do not know if it has a valid Skagen warranty but I do know that having Walmart work on my watch invalidated the once valid first watch warranty. This was the last of two watches offered for sale by Amazon LLC at the time that it was ordered so my ordering situation may have passed when this review is read. The new watch was shipped horribly packed but it amazingly was not damaged and has been working fine for a week--not a real test. My old Skagen watch worked perfectly for several years until the battery died. Nice features--day and date. It was always accurate. The luminosity of the hands is underwhelming but I really don't care. I have read complaints about the crystal cracking. The crystal on my first watch never cracked but it does have a very minor scuff. If the watch is not properly latched it will be lost and gone forever and care is always required when putting on the watch and operating the latch. It really is an unsecure design waiting for human error. ALWAYS take the time to assure that it is correctly latched! I found the band to be comfortable. If you learn from my experience send the watch either to Skagen's authorized repair center (reported to be very reputable) or to some other reputable servicer to have the battery replaced. I have read that done correctly the gasket should be replaced if the back cover is removed. Battery replacement prices vary but considering that Walmart charged me about $7 to ruin my watch the additional expense is probably justified if you like the watch. I will probably explore if my first Skagen watch can be economically repaired but as of now I have a new watch that works perfectly. ... show more
