    • Exactly What My Machine Needed
As many may not know, these are absolutely necessary for sewing machines that have an upright spool holder. It helps to keep the thread from advancing to fast - if you have a heavy foot - and from tangling. These also help with the thread feed in order for the machine to have proper tension while sewing. ~ With that said, I needed some new ones as my machine was in for service and the felt did not come home with my machine. When I received these, they were a bit thin so I put two on the spindle and everything is fine. Great price and much easier than driving back to the Sew/Vac (120 mile trip) to get another felt for my machine. ... show more

These are pretty thin. Definitely not as good as the classic one that came with my 1951 singer. It is the thinner one (right and top) in the photos. The thick one was the classic that came with my machine.

    • Exactly what it’s supposed to be
I needed these for a 1913 singer 66 and a mid 60’s Kenmore. I hesitantly ordered them because some reviews said they are thin and the holes are slightly off center. Well, it’s true on both accounts, but this is not really a precision thing people. For what they are they’re perfect. I use them under thread spools and cut one up to make an oiler for the singer. For both jobs these were the perfect tool. If you’re gonna break out the digital calipers and look for top dead center within .030”, you’re gonna find discrepancies.
