I had placed my order for this coffee table, but had a change of mind before it was shipped. I tried to cancel the order and receive a refund instead, and the customer service said they would cancel the order, then a few hours later I received an email saying the item has shipped! No biggie, I planned to refuse the item once it arrived. The table was shipped so fast to my door and the online pictures of it were so beautiful. I decided to take a chance and keep it. I assembled it by myself, very easy. Everything was all there, no damage, packaged very well, everything was well protected in the big long heavy box it came in that it took quite some effort to get it unpacked, but I managed. Once assembled I was glad I decided to keep it and not refuse delivery. Its a big size table also so it will fit all kinds of decor on it generous in size with space to spare. My apartment and living room is very small and I did not think it would fit or would take up too much space, but even though it's big it fits perfect in my living room space surprisingly with room for me to walk around in it still. Overall I am happy with the purchase and the cheap price for such a gorgeous coffee table. It is very well built, very sturdy, and elegant. I ordered my coffee table from the Amazon seller Cymax. Super fast shipping and very well packaged and protected. I saw some negative reviews saying their table arrived damaged with scrapes and things, unfortunately for them. This is an incredible table, I did buy the 5 yr warantee offered against chips, dents, and defects. The color is beautiful and rich. The icing, is the iron scroll work that accompanies the carved wood inlay that lays beneath the rim. It took my hunny less than 30 minutes to put it together as he lays out every piece ( He's an Organized Navy Man.hehe) for those that worry about putting stuff together, this is basically what you do, put it together top down, then align the legs to the top with screws and washers( 8 screws and washers 2 for each leg) then align the bottom open shelf to the legs and lastly you'll twist on the ball feet through the shelf and into the legs.last step is to place on your glass top. It's a snap.I dont think anyone regrets a purchase like this, does it look like $2000 no but I have paid $450 for a very similar one, built the same way in Blond Maple.until now it was my favorite piece. I'm planning on buying the other Norcastle pieces, the cocktail table and 3 end tables. What make it a stand out to me. Is It was well packaged, labeled, and it is very sturdy and made well. On top of that, the details to me is what separate a fine piece from another, the iron scroll work along with the wood carved inlay is what makes it a stand out. In summary, it is a nice piece of furniture. It looks nice. Is it the greatest quality? Absolutely not. The wood can be easily scratched. The table legs are so hollow, I could easily break em in half. The creative looking lines that appear at the top of the table that you can see while looking through the glass; well, I thought they’d be higher quality. But they feel like plastic. Sadly, for my order, the bottom shelf came quite damaged. Many scratches, dents, and chips. It’s clear these happened sometime during the manufacturing process. The actual box that Amazon shipped this in was surprisingly packed very well. In the end, I can simply cover up these damaged areas with a colored wood filling/pen. Still, they shouldn’t be there in the first place. Overall, I’d say it’s a good table for the price of around $250 to $300. I feel horrible for the people that buy this sofa table from Ashley directly in store. My local Ashley store has it priced at $650! Absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully more people learn to look up whatever furnishings they like online first and compare prices before placing orders in furniture stores. ... show more

Its a beautiful table and sturdy but that's where the quality stops. I received the table with two missing feet so I had to get those shipped separately. Amazon and Ashely furniture were quick to resolve this but now I have two different colored feet because the ones that were shipped separately are super dark. I also noticed two areas where the table may have cracked and was glued back together, but still noticeable, I should've have done a complete quality check prior to assembly. Another bad quality is that it scratches very easily. Going to need to contact Ashely or Amazon for replacement or return. UPDATE: AMAZON sent me a replacement in which the table is completely brand new, no issues and everything packed the way it should have been. Initial review stated it lacked quality but that was because the table may have been a previous return. The table is beautiful and strong. I am glad I requested a replacement instead of a refund. ... show more
