The people complaining about how loud the unit is are ridiculous. It runs great, does its job. The unit doesn’t run any louder than a box fan on high. It’s white noise. Cools the room fast in 100•F weather. No complaints so far. Will update this review in a few weeks.

It was easy to install. I’m still don’t know what the drainage water is about yet and the thing that’s scary is the type that goes out to the window gets boiling hot and that is really weird but it calls beautifully. I have no complaints about that part of it, I just don’t know why it gets so hot. It makes me very nervous, but so far Cooling part is good ... show more

I live in Texas and work from home most days. My home office is on the front corner of our house and gets a lot of sun. My wife likes to keep the A/C set to 76 degrees, and in the summer, the home office is 80+ in the afternoon. Before I purchased this, I was using five different fans (six if you include the ceiling fan) to try and keep myself cool. I bought this portable window-vented A/C unit just over a year ago, in July 2023, and it has made a huge difference. Before, I would have to take breaks on the hottest days, just to go to a different room in the house to cool down. Now, I only have to take breaks when I actually need a break from work. The unit isn't small, but it's not obtrusive. My only complaint is that it's a bit loud--but the cold air feels great, so it's not a huge trade-off. If I have to be on a call, I'll turn it off with the remote, and as soon as I'm done, it's back on at the push of a button. As noted, I've had it for more than a year now, and it still works as well as it did on the day I first used it (knock on wood). I haven't had to drain it yet, but if that ends up being a huge hassle, I'll come back and edit this. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase--well, maybe a little happier if it wasn't quite so loud, but I definitely think it was worth what I spent, and I would definitely buy it again. ... show more

    • Not the best design
I wish I had looked at the design of this unit before purchasing it. I've had several of these and I think this one has been the worst design. The cleanable filter is located in the back behind a panel and its clipped to that panel in a very inconvenient way. There's no way to pull your filter out and wash it easily. The drain for the AC is also not designed well to actually drain it. You must use a pot or somthing and let the hose drain into it. I like having the drain hose option but including a more functional drain hose would have been nice. The duct hose that came with it is also hard to get onto the attachments and just slips off. All together the unit may be a decent unit but it's like it was designed by someone who's never actually used it. Not a good unit for someone who plans to use it quite a bit. It would be good for temporary use of maybe a few days but other than that there's other units for the same price that are better designed for draining and cleaning that make using it much easier. ... show more

I got this AC a couple years ago it's still going day and night works really well I would highly recommend has a remote control with it so you don't have to physically touch the ac for it's size it blows a lot of cool air like I said before I have had this for 2 years now and it's still works better now then ever ... show more

it comes with the pipe and window attachment so you don’t have to buy it, it’s grey not black, i got the 12,000 btu not wifi because the higher the btu the more powerful it’ll blow air and cali heat isn’t a joke. it blows cold my vents didn’t wanna open at first but it’s cause the top one wasn’t connected got it fixed. i got it for a single room i’ve seen people tryna use it for a whole house it wont work like that maybe if u get 3-4 depending how big ur house is maybe lol but for a single room it’s great :) i did notice it has scratches fresh out the box but it’s whatever i wouldn’t recommend getting warranty just keep the box to put it in during winter or buy a plastic storage bin from walmart to protect it. i’ve seen the black + decker ones and they are small compared to this one, i’ve also seen other versions this ones huge and it blows ice cold air. ITS VERY LOUD LOL ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I like this unit as it does quickly cool the room down. I can see the room temperature when i walk in. I turn it on and I see the desired temperature i have it set at which it will continue to cool until it gets to the temperature. When I turn it off I see the room temperature again. I wish they would have both the temp setting and the room temperature at the same time so I can see where it is at when cooling. The biggest dislike is how loud it is when running. It is not quite. The blower is very strong, has two setting low and high both produce about the same amount of sound. It was super easy to install. I did have to use my hack saw to cut part of the sliding window frame as it was too long. Once cut it was a perfect fit. Good for the price. ... show more
