  • Amazing crank standing desk!
Size: Crank- Single Top Color: Black Frame/Teak Top
I work from home and recently decided to buy a new desk after using a child's desk the last two years. I was extremely picky in my search. I wanted something that didn't have two pieces for the top which is harder to find than people think on Amazon. I also wanted something I could stand at and that I could adjust while sticking to my budget. This desk is everything I was looking for. The crank on this desk is one of the things that appealed to me. It does take a minute or so to adjust the desk to the height you want but for me it's worth it. I wanted a manual crank and did not want the hassle of anything electric on a desk. I like simplicity. The desk is VERY heavy so make sure you have someone help you lift it into the house when it is delivered. I had to drag the box because it was so heavy. As for putting it together, I did not put it together but my husband did. He said it was very easy to put together. It took him less than an hour to put together the entire desk. I definitely recommend this desk to anyone looking for one. ... show more

  • Clever and nice looking adjustable desk
I wish I could give this desk 4.5 stars, because although I love it and think it's a bargain, I did have one issue with it, to which the company was very responsive. Also, the top is real wood, and the price was about half that of many of the others that I'd looked at, most of which had rather cheap tops. The issue I had was that, while the desk top looks perfectly beautiful, it has a couple of rougher feeling spots. No, you can't see them, and no, you won't get splinters or anything like that -- and I can certainly live with the flaws -- but it's not equally smooth all over. The assembly was pretty easy, but as with most instructions, they can always be clearer. They say you need at least two people, and I'm sure that would have been even easier, but I was able to finagle it by myself, by using the crank to lower both legs to their lowest positions and then lining them up or measuring them to make sure they were even. Then I skipped the first step, and instead did the first part of the second step, and then came back to the first step before completing step two. I hope this makes sense. And, finally, it's helpful to know that the crank pulls in and out, which I didn't realize and almost thought that I'd installed it wrong until I read another reviewer's post. I am happy with my purchase and do recommend the desk. The one I bought is the lighter color with the white metal legs, but the photos I've seen of the teak version with black legs looks nice, too. ... show more

  • The table top is actual solid wood not veneered plywood or MDF.
It took me about 90 minutes to assemble it by myself with the help of two chairs since I had no second pairs of hands as recommended by the manufacturer. If I have a helper it can be done in less than an hour. The instruction is pictorial and very easy to follow. What I am most thrilled about this desk is the table top. It is made of actual 3/4" butcher block looking solid wood. The light color of the wood adds to the aesthetic appeal of the set up. The hand crank mechanism functions very well. I am glad I do not have to rely on electrical motor for raising/lowering the table top. My hands are a whole lot more reliable. ... show more

  • Does the job and looks great, but could be a little steadier
We ordered this desk specifically because it's manually operated and not electric (and therefore had a cleaner look to it since it didn't have wires and cords coming off it). It looks great and fits perfectly into our space and overall we're happy with this. It functions well and it's really easy to transition from sitting to standing desk. The one downside is that it seems a little wobbly/not quite as solid as I would expect for the price. If this was cheaper I would have had absolutely zero complaints, but it's certainly not as sturdy as the other standing desk we have for a different workspace. But again, love the design and overall I'm happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Very great desk, solid customer service
Size: Crank- Single Top Color: Black Frame/Teak Top
The top is what seems to be laminated wood, but it's solid. The top and the frame are both pretty sturdy, no wobble at all. You even have the ability to choose which side to put the crank on if you're not right-handed. It says 2 people required to assemble it, but it can easily be assembled with one person. It feels like good craftsmanship for something that came from China (all the holes line up, which seems to be a major issue with products made in China that require assembly). When I first received this, I thought it was missing bolts so I used bolts from Lowe's. If you do not receive any bolts with yours, you can use M6-1.00x10 Metric Pan Phillips Machine screws from Lowe's (Item #755514). 4 packs of 6 bolts cost me $8.34 after tax. I was contacted by customer service within 1 day offering to replace the missing bolts. I eventually found the bolts that I thought were missing. ... show more

  • Works as advertised. Great price. Go's up and down.
This is a great table. It's tricky to put it together because the screws don't go into the holes easily. They can easily strip the metal frames. Not to worry, just be careful when threading the screws. You might have to bend and apple pressure to get things to fit. Don't tighten the screws all the way until you have them all on, then tighten them evenly and work from one corner to opposite corner. ... show more

  • Great product for a killer price
I really dig this desk, after a year of working from home I decided to upgrade my fixed height standing desk with this so I could occasionally sit while doing tedious work. This has been great and gave me plenty of room for all my stuff. For the price you really can’t bear it. The motor works well too and takes about 7 seconds to change from my standing height of 42.5” to the sitting height of my stool at 36.5”. The two levels are great for my monitors too, so I don’t need an additional keyboard tray it risers to get everything ergonomic ... show more
