first off, I adore this playset. it has a LOT of accessories so your kid will never get bored with it. a lot of them are really small however, so ensure you put them in ziplock bags when your kid is done with them. but, the price point is pretty steep. $80 for something this small doesn't make much sense, I would price it around $40 maybe. another complaint I have is that I have bought 2 of these before and both didn't have 1 of the 2 hay bales it says it comes with. definitely contact schleich for this issue. otherwise I really like this playset. if you want a huge playset though buy the dollhouse with the stable that schleich also has on here - it's HUGE and you'll get more bang for your buck. ... show more

My 10-year-old daughter is obsessed with horses, we bought her her second actual real horse this past Christmas but she loves playing with horse toys indoors as well. I purchased this product because she wanted the jumps of course for her horses to go over. Her fake horses of course lol. Anyhow the two pieces that go on either side of the jump have three poles that are supposed to go inside the holes and they barely fit and two are much longer than one of the other polls. Doesn’t quite make sense. She literally tried it once and it’s been in her toybox ever since so I would not suggest this purchase. It is cute with the pink color and a little flower box around either side of the jump but aside from that there’s nothing special about this toy and I would not waste any money at all on this. ... show more

The Schleich® Horse Club is a full-featured Horse Tournament Stadium and Grounds. It features Sofia who rides an Arabian mare and Lisa who,loves her Trakhener mare. The entire set, even the girls and horse, need to be assembled. When we opened the box, it was quite overwhelming. We got the set for our 5-year old granddaughter, but thankfully, her 11-year old sister was there to help! The set is similar to other micro building blocks but this set also has larger pieces. After we were able to assemble it, we were very surprised at the amount of accessories. So glad the set is broken down into numbered individual bags to make assembly easier. After we assembled the little girls, (about 4” tall) we found they were movable. They can move their arms which allows them to be part of all the fun role-playing with their horses. They can groom them in the horse stall with the hoof pick and put on the saddle and bridle. And don’t forget to put the girls’ helmets on! Safety first! When you set up the stadium grounds, it ends up resembling an obstacle course that is surrounded by a fence and has two jumps. The cardboard backdrop displays all the spectators in the stands. After the girls direct their horses through all the jumps, a winner is declared and is awarded a bouquet and a ribbon on the podium. Wonderful souvenir photos are taken with a camera and tripod. So much fun with all the pretend play; great for building conversations and ,earning all about the world of horse jumping competition. One issue that might be a problem is the number of small accessories. I know they add a great deal to the story telling and playing, but there is definitely a need for a good storage solution. Currently, we are using ziploc bags for the small items and a bin for the large. My little one knows that the only thing that goes in this bin is her special horse set. Hopefully, that will keep everything together for hours of fun play. ... show more

We got this for our 4 year old and I'd say that it's borderline for her; I would agree that 5+ is more ideal here as they list for a couple reasons. First there are a LOT of small pieces here. I know it says it's a 36 piece set but quite a few of those 36 pieces are tiny little details. This is great but this also means they have to be kept up with; not the easiest to do. Those tiny pieces also mean the set looks great. There is a lot more here to 'build the world' than I realized just looking at the listing. The other small issue is with the jump poles. They can be super super finicky to get to sit in the posts. If they had made them mere mm longer this would take care of that issue. But as it stands they can be a bit frustrating to use... even for adults. These aside I won't fault the set because it deserves the full 5 stars. It's pricey because it's Schleich and Schleich makes toys that are worth it. The figures all look great, the detail is thought out, and the world building on this set is super fun given just how much detail there is here. We have to make a point of really keeping track of all the parts but that withstanding she loves playing with it and we've had fun as well with her creating stories. Overall pleased. ... show more
