After a fair amount of research, I selected two of these Samsung 24" monitors based upon connection options, refresh rate, reviews and my experience with Samsung overall. As expected, the monitors set up very easily, they look great and the extra 2" of screen size are definitely a difference-maker. The monitor is everything I expected. Well package to endure shipment, arrive in outstanding condition thanks to FedEx. The instructions were easy to follow and the set up as excellent. The description of the power/feature access button was not as clear. When I contacted Samsung Customer Service, that was terrible. exactly 31 days from the purchase date, this monitor has a black vertical line and is worthless. It would cost more to fix it than the almost $200 I paid for it. Completely unsatisfied and an unhappy Amazon customer. Warranty for electronics should be longer than 30 days. Best buy gives you 60 days. Absolutely infuriating! EDIT: Amazon's customer service wins the day, and has honored the refund even though it was a day after the return window. I had waited to set this up and 3 of the monitors worked fine and this one didn't. Thank you Amazon for doing the right thing. I will change to 5 stars after this is fully resolved ... show more

Perfect size and price For what it’s worth. Needed a second screen for gaming. This wasn’t bad. I’d buy it again. Still works. No issues so far. Looks like it’ll hold up for a few years.

    • Very good picture quality but the source input detection is a deal breaker
I thought maybe the problem was just this monitor but I read through the other reviews and even their G5 and G7 monitors which are top tier report the same problem with it detecting the input. Basically the Auto source input detection and even on manual source it has the same problem. Basically when you reboot the PC or you're trying to install Windows 11 the monitor will be blank and you have to manually turn off and turn the monitor back on or at the very least you will miss the bios / uefi screen and you will just have to guess when the uefi or bios screens come on and you have to push your function keys blindly to get into them. When installing Windows the screen is just blank even though there is actually is an image being sent out from the integrated graphics or video card during windows setup. Sure this isn't completely unusable but this is just basic functionality a monitor should just stick to whatever input you set it. And apparently people have complained to Samsung and they do nothing about it except rehash scripted replies from their engineers so that means that they are ignoring their customers and they make great TVs but apparently their engineers are incompetent on how to make a basic computer monitor which even an $80 monitor has no problem with the source input. Stay clear of this monitor and all Samsung monitors until they actually start listening to the customers ... show more
