I use this desk as my primary workstation when working from home, I had been using a smaller bamboo breakfast tray but after one of the handles broke off, I needed to replace it. I couldn't be happier with this one -- it suits my needs perfectly. PROS: - Nice and big! The laptop in the picture is a 13-inch, and as you can see, I have plenty of room for it and other items, like a drink, a notepad, my phone, etc. - The asymmetrical lip is perfect for laptop use! My previous tray had a 1-inch lip all the way around and it made my wrists hurt to type on the laptop for long periods. The low-lip in front prevents things like pens from rolling off, but it's lower than my laptop's thickness, so it doesn't inhibit typing. The tall lip in the back allows your phone/tablet to sit without fear of going overboard. This is my favorite feature. - The tablet/phone lip is nice! My previous tray didn't have this and I enjoy keeping my phone propped up. Plus, that allows for more surface space for other stuff. - The color and texture is lovely! I really wanted a white one and this makes my area feel clean and fresh. Plus, the paint is very smooth and seems like it'd be easy to wipe down. - It's STURDY! Maybe because of the increased size, but when you grab the handles on either side, it feels very solid and well-built. I get up and sit down and never worry about my cup spilling or anything. CONS: - Somewhat heavy. The flipside to my sturdy comment above, this thing weighs a lot more than my previous table. Not a problem for my usage, but it's definitely less portable. If you were moving it all over the place, you might get irritated with it. - Imperfect corners. As you can see in the second photo, the back corners have spots where the paint did not completely seal the tray area. I think this is only cosmetic however, as again, it feels so sturdy. I'll update this review if it breaks in the future. - Legs don't stay folded in. If you pick up this tray by the handles, the legs will hang down a bit. This might make it a little annoying to set down and move around if you're doing that a lot. - Strong paint smell at first. Like others have mentioned, as soon as you crack this thing from the plastic it does have a strong chemical paint smell. But I just left it by an open window and it dissipated in under 15 minutes for me. I don't even consider this a con personally, but I know some people are very sensitive to smells so I thought I'd mention it. So yeah. To me, the cons are all nitpicks, and overall I am really pleased with this table. It's improved my workspace a lot and I am confident it'll last several years. ... show more

This is a beautiful tray that I use for my Mom in her chair. However, it doesn't quite workout due to the legs of the tray. You have to sort of get them lined up with the sides of the chair, and at that point the legs are not fully out so it is not stable, you have to get the legs pushed down the sides of the chair. Does that make sense? Would be better for a bed arrangement, not sitting in a chair. That doesn't mean the product is not good. It is a great product and well made. I ordered this lap desk in Java/Medium to use while sitting in my recliner, with my iPad and Bluetooth keyboard. I have to say that I like everything about the desk. It is the perfect size and weight to use on my recliner without feeling crowded. There is a media bar in the back that will hold a phone and tablet. There are higher edges in the back and sides and a lower edge in the front so you can easily type and things do not slide off. There are convenient handles on the side to move it, as needed. The legs fold neatly underneath, so it is easy to store. All in all, this is a very nice lap desk. ... show more

I can't recommend these enough! we had another set of cheaper trays and they lasted for probably a year before they were falling apart and when we went to replace them I found these and even though they were a bit more pricy, I wanted to have quality so we wouldn't be replacing them every year. When I tell you that the quality absolutely blows me away every time that we use them it would be an understatement. These are the BEST trays, better than I could have hoped for. They are solid, well made, and will last us a long time! The extra money is worth it and I can't recommend these enough ... show more

I absolutely love this tray! I really struggled after reading reviews on TONS of trays. Reviews were all over the place. I am very happy that I settled on this one. It is very well made. Heavy duty but not heavy or cumbersome. Color is very nice and did not have issues with it rubbing off when cleaned. There were no rough edges or splintered wood. I have been using it several times a day after breaking my leg. No issues at all. Legs stay up but are also easily closed and opened. It's a nice size. Has room for dinner plate, cup, napkin and there is still plenty of room. I also use it to work on laptop while off of my feet. The lip on the edge prevents dishes from sliding off but is also comfortable when using laptop. Price was reasonable and order arrived quickly. (2 days) Was well wrapped & protected in box. If you're looking for a tray, I would recommend this one 100%. ... show more

I got it for my daughter after her knee surgery, and it was perfect for her to use for eating. I like the feature where you can put your phone or tablet. We also use it as a serving tray now, and find the quality to be very good.
