It was a easy set up. I like that it came with extra pieces. I have a really tall ceiling and it still have extenders for even taller ceilings. It is sturdy if you get it perfectly ceiling to floor. It's perfect for long and short windows.

The best thing about it is that the hook that connects the 1-inch diameter horizontal bar actually works with a longer, heavier 1.25-inch diameter horizontal bar. So you COULD make it wider with an external rod, but only if you have that extra part. It wasn't very hard to assemble if you follow the video, but the instructions could be clearer. ... show more

It's okay, I guess. The first very weird thing is that step 1 of the instructions start with the word "Then". As if you are already one or more step in. But no, it's the very first word of the very first step. The second, more frustrating thing is that the instructions make very little sense. Parts aren't clearly labeled and the order is pretty nonsensical. Third infuriating thing is that the parts that connect the vertical and horizontal bars come with screws and nuts already screwed into them. "That's convenient" I hear you think, but no, it really isn't because the screws are incredibly short. Leave them tightened and you won't be able to slide it onto the vertical post. Loosen them too much and you might be able to slide it onto the bar, but likely chance is that the screw and nut detach. And since the screw is so short you won't be able to screw them together while the plastic part is now on your bar. Fourth part that might make you want to give up send it back is that they give you 1 spare screw and nut. One of the screws and nuts ended up just popping lose several times to the point the thread on both pieces was ruined, the last one barely made it but also took several attempts. Again, I guess it works. But be prepared to be frustrated. ... show more
