A lovely Eye of Hilarion talisman pomegranate sculpture in fascinating mediterranean colors! It is perfect as a gift for wedding, anniversary, housewarming and other occassions for a successful new beginning, to bring good luck and keep the evil eye away. It is preciously leaf gold gilded and hand painted on a ceramic base, filled with a combination of protective and good luck gemstone crystals, with a clear quartz gemstone sphere on top within the blossom, and beautifully decorated with beads and ribbon. The materials are clay, leaf metal gold, art paints, varnish, a quartz crystal spere with 16 mm diameter, and inside of the clay pomegranate I inserted 3 little gemstones, a turquoise, a quartz crystal, and a black tourmaline. The size of the pomegranate is 11 x 12 cm. This is an artistic decoration item of my “Eye of Hilarion” talisman series. These beautiful eye symbol creations have their origin in the ancient custom of the of the evil eye talisman or bead, which is found in many cultures and folklores, as well in the Mediterranean, Arabic as in Latin American regions. There, the eye is a guardian symbol for protection from the so-called evil eye as well as a common symbol for good luck. I wished to design some good luck charm filled with the brilliance of the light, so within this interpretation of mine, I included a memory that already when I was very little and did my first paintings, I steadily refused painting the sun just as a yellow corner or ball, and against all odds, I always used to paint the sunlight as a bundle of multicolor rays. Within the years I learned about various cultures and folklores, their ancient wisdom, and the sacred geometry. All these facts together lead me to the creation of the Eye of Hilarion, a very decorative good luck symbol, that is perfectly displaying the fascinating colors of the Mediterranean sea and sky, and is full of this very special amazing sunlight.
