I know the whole purpose of this pan is being "Non Toxic", without any non-stick materials (which eventually get to our food), BUT, I didn't think it would be so "sticky". I was frying potatoes, and I used a LOT of oil. Not a splash and not a drip. I was pouring vegetable oil onto the pan, and waited for the oil to heat up before I through the potatoes in. I was disappointed from two main things: 1. It felt that the pan is not heating as much as I used to, in compare to my regular TEFAL pans. 2. Potatoes were sticking during the whole preparation. You can see in the photo that almost the whole surface is covered with potato leftovers which I had to scrape down. Maybe I am old fashioned, maybe I don't know how to use the pan, or maybe this pan is performing poorly. Lucky I just paid $33. ... show more

I’ll be the odd one out on this review.. this is a beautiful and very high end feeling pan. I understand it isn’t Teflon, which was a major reason I wanted this pan. I use cooking spray or oils when I cook and this pan could care less. It still sticks. This pan, IMO, should be for low low heat only. Like a grilled cheese etc. Cleaning it is another story. It doesn’t clean easy either. My husbands an Executive Chef and agrees so even a professional thinks the same as I . Others have left raving reviews so it has worked for others. It isn’t a fit for my kitchen as I cook a lot of meals. Their pot that I have is fantastic so I like this company. Just not this pan. ... show more

I will say I was surprised today. I've been wanting to use this but oddly enough I haven't been using my skillets lately. Today I was like, I am going to use this, so I made an omelet with it And here's the odd thing. I put the stove on level 2 heat on the dial, so just enough heat for pretty much buffet. And well...I forgot to adjust the dial when I put the eggs in, the cheese, the meat, the spices. It was all there and still on 2 for a little bit. And honestly this goes to show just how different this skillet is, because by the time I realized it, honestly the omelet had already been cooked like normal, and I hadn't been lacking in paying attention to it, I hadn't done anything different in my cooking with it. It was like normal Yet, it cooked and looked great. This honestly threw me off cause this shouldn't usually happen. Not with a usual skillet You put it on 2 with a usual skillet the egg usually is just gonna sit there in raw form, maybe whiten, but you're not going to get any progress, not really. This one cooked my eggs with just level 2. As well as the cheese and insides of the omelet. I even still got the hot feel from the egg coming out So, if anyone wanted a demonstration of how well this thing utilizes and retains heat, there you have it And ironically, got to see how it does with cooking eggs in if they'll stick or not. I added oil to start as usual, and did have to keep an eye on it because eggs are among the stickiest of foods to put in a skillet. I did have to get some egg that had really started to stick to the skillet, as well as some that was beginning to. But I was able to get it all up pretty easily, and the skillet was clean at the end. This isn't a non-stick pan, so obviously you need to use care when cooking and effort with washing...however it is a really nice, flat surface and cooks really well and evenly. Very robust and holds up well!

From the moment that I picked up this pan, I could tell that it was superior in quality to other pans I've used in the past. One of the things that I truly enjoyed about this pan is the weight and the sturdiness that you could feel while cooking with it. We have a gas range and the key to utilizing stainless steel pans is to ensure that they are preheated appropriately. If stainless steel pans do not have enough time to preheat completely, the pan will not perform to the level that you expect. This pan will work with almost any type of heat source. The way that the sides of this pan are shaped allows you to flip food in your skillet easily while cooking. I truly love working with this pan in the kitchen and I am confident in how it will help me prepare healthy and delicious food. ... show more

The pan arrived well packed. It is a nice looking pan. It has some weight to it which makes it solid. You can tell by holding and looking at it that it's a quality pan. The width of the pan is 10 1/2" with the handle measuring 7". The overall size of the pan is 17 1/2" including the handle. I haven't yet cooked in the pan but I prefer the pans without the non stick bottoms. They are harsh chemicals that leach into your food when cooking and overtime chip off and end up in your food. No thanks. I will take this stainless steel pan over a non stick any day. This pan is a good buy in my book. ... show more
